I had the away one based on the scratchy purple kit circa 92/93. It was purple, grey and black. Loved it. Yeah I remember that one although never owned one. Don't they made/sold as many of the purple version so you'd have definitely had a rare'un. Think it was actually a hand me down from a family member who bought it and didn't like it. Was only young-ish at the time. Think you are right, was a bit of a rare one. Was never out of it. Hope they bring the home one back. Think it would be very popular.

That’s probably one of the main reasons I voted for him for Player of the season, massive pressure to adjust to Western Culture. Ref the 3rd strip, got it yesterday and it looks good on and close up, I will be parading it around East Midlands Airport this lunchtime waiting for my flight to Cyprus 😎 Where you going mate? Been to Paphos every year since I was 5 as my grandparents then 20 years later my mum did the same thing. Stopping at Kafelos Beach Village near King of the Tombs… can’t wait

Had a massive screen showing most footy, cricket and GP if that's your thing I seem to remember.

Loving the purchase of the 3rd kit, and looked to be popular at the Club shop too......but Macron do come up on the smaller side & for those who know me then yes I am a tall chap, but a 4XL to get some sort of wriggle room?

To be honest I think our third kit is the worst ever! I like our traditional home kit and also the black away one, but this one almost makes me puke!

Sounds as though Umbro have just forgotten about a Luton home shirt this year & they've last minute decided to use last year's kit as a last resort. You'd have thought this kind of decision would have been made and announced well in advance of August!

You'd have thought this kind of decision would have been made and announced well in advance of August! They’re not the only club to do it recently, can’t remember who else has, got Bournemouth in my head. I think it’s being used to be seen as treating fans correctly by not expecting them to buy shirts every year. I personally prefer to have the kits revealed every year and then just buy one whenever I want to, not like anyone is forced to get them each year.

Brentford I think it is that have been reusing home shirts. Always used to be the way though didn't it but just found it strange how it's been left really late & worded on this occasion especially as the seasons starts in a week's time! 'Luton Town have announced that they will now wear last year’s home shirt', like it's some kind of after thought or oversight. & they've said they'll have new stock in soon which again wouldn't have been hard to arrange over the summer months if was just a reorder of previous seasons design. They've also announced they will be having new away & third shirts revealed shortly, again season starts in 7 days time! Just seems like Umbro have messed up the Luton kit requirement order not to have any kits for sale at this stage of the year. How many holiday purchase sales have they missed out on?!

I like having new ones every year personally. I usually buy one out of the home/away/third and just enjoy the change.

Kit question someone may know the answer to.
How come Stoke dont maximise the sponsorship opportunities many other clubs Including Premier League clubs do by having either rear shirt or shirt sleeve sponsors?
Surely in this day and age of finance's being scrutinised an extra income from a sponsor or two wouldn't go a miss?
Don't see many clubs without extra shirt sponsors on in any league, & with the potential phasing out of Betting logos from shirts, starting now surely with something on the back or sleeves none betting related wouldn't do any harm?

Probably because we’re far more closely linked to Bet365 than most clubs are to their sponsors. Until last week they were literally our owners and they pretty much still are in everything but name. Bet365 would likely rather not have other brand names taking up space on the shirt and competing with their own.

Went to the club shop after Coventry and have to say my fave was the third kit. I have to say the stocks are much improved as is the quality. I think my fave was the jumper in the purple late 80’s early 90’s purple kit. Well done to the club.

A year back I emailed Simon King to ask why there were no long sleeved versions to be told there was no demand and they would not be doing one in the future . Walked into the shop Saturday and bingo a long sleeved version of the home kit . Looks fab . Bit pricey but heyho I can’t get many matches once it gets cold so club needs supporting.

The new layout of the shop was also much more consumer friendly with less high reach areas now.... The club really has got it's act together since King came in bravo 👏
