Badge should be a Stoke City badge, red is wrong, sponsor is wrong. It is a Stoke City badge are the sponsors are our owner and the biggest employers in the city so how are they wrong? It was a shit joke about the Olympiacos shirt

Watching TV highlights of Sunderland v Sheff Weds last weekend S'land were playing in white shorts?? Were they wearing next seasons kit? If so, they can do one copying us It was this season’s kit, with white shorts. A tribute to a former player that has passed away I believe.

Would like a better manufacturer than macron. We have been shit ever since we had them. Don’t think that we are going to get the likes of Nike, adidas etc, but even the fail have puma. I kinda like Puma kits (except vales) How do you define "better"? Qualitywise, Macron have been as good if not better than anything Adidas or Puma supplied in their time. In terms of design they've been consistently on-point with their stuff - with the exception of the blue and yellow "roadmender" training kit. Have a look at the Video from Hummel USA in the Tweet: link"Our Communities Aren't Templates - So they shouldn't be represented by one". - absolutely bang-on. If there's one thing that Stoke is about it's being uniquely individual as a City and a Club. Hummel obviously get that philosophy, and Macron did with their '72 Anniversary kit. We're not big enough to be treated as anything other than "Teamwear templates" by the likes of Adi/Puma/Nike. And their prices will no doubt be higher for the sake of a "brand". Personally I wouldn't mind Umbro or Hummel if and when Macron get the push. I've always liked Hummel footy gear. Quite bespoke & sure they'd make us a quality shirt. This mock up would be awesome IMHO Attachment Deleted

Do we know definitively if it will be Macron again for this season's strip's? It’s Macron for the next few seasons. The deal got renewed. That'll break the record held by Asics - 9 years I think?

This season's definitely better than last but not a patch on my eldest lads Macron training gear in terms of longevity. They're moving to Castore, overpriced bland crap with supply issues, that should be fun........

I had a couple of Glasgow Rangers tops when they had Hummel, they all seemed OK, before coincidentally they moved to Castore! Guess some brands deliver different quality kits some years and poorer quality the next, pretty much pot luck how good the material quality and finish is I guess. I always expected New Balance to have been better quality for us but a side from the home shirt which was awesomely produced and designed, the training wear was tat and as you mention with Hummel, majority of it had stick on badges that would only survive a couple of wear & wash routines! On the whole Macron gear has been built to last over the 8 seasons we've been with them so far..

On the whole Macron gear has been built to last over the 8 seasons we've been with them so far.. I like a lot of the Hummel designs and they were definitely much improved this season but my fear was if the quality was like that for a massive club like Everton what would they be like for someone like us? It doesn't necessarily have to be Macron but I quite like the designs of some of the more obscure manufacturers such as Joma, O'Neill's, Mizuno, Marathon etc. Ultimately you just want a good deal for the club, a clean and tidy home shirt, decent away/training gear that's bespoke and plentiful supply. I think Macron have been on the mark with their brief, the issue has been more around our decline on the pitch in their strips I suppose........

I’d love to see diagonal stripes for a change up and the meltdown it’d cause on here. It actually looks good, did a mock up earlier on one of those design a kit websites

If we went for a bit of twist on the stripes I think I could get on board with that. Stripes are always going to be tough to come up with something different but I think that is a good stab at it . I thought the 22/23 kit was a great attempt at trying to do something different as well. Obviously the following season would need to be a much more traditional affair to balance things out.

I thought the 22/23 kit was a great attempt at trying to do something different as well. Obviously the following season would need to be a much more traditional affair to balance things out. It was mentioned at the kit design forum that one of the requisites of forward planning for the new kits is that they go on a rolling scale of classic/retro, funky/different & standard to try to keep things different & to cater for everyone's preferences. Obviously away and third shirts have a lot more licence to be different & play around with but the home shirt always has to be more conformed and disciplined with regards to how much you can play around with. Things like stripe widths & styles, collar style, shade of red, rear under collar wording/badge motif is what determines how the new shirt will look. As we had thinner stripes for the 23/24 season it's likely as has been alluded to the stripes for the 24/25 season's home shirt will have a thicker striped design.
