I think he could be decent for us too, but his first task should be to make sure he doesn't start the season looking a stone overweight as he did last time. That may help him to cut out some of the other issues. I guess you're right, but on the other hand he hasn't ever looked very fit, has he? I suppose he's always looked a bit of a chunky-monkey, but he definitely started last season looking like he'd been following some sort of Charlie Adam beer diet. Looked less fit than he'd looked at the end of the previous season. For a pro-sportsman to start the season looking like that is pretty poor really.

Now that Bolton have failed to get promotion I'd be trying to get Dion Charles I don’t get what people see in him.

Shaq wasn’t at all unfit he just wasn’t an auxiliary FB. Managers/coaches are always trying to be too secure and saddling attacking players with core defensive responsibilities. This should not be necessary. Good attackers will take the pressure off adequate defenders. Its the other way round. Managers saddle attacking players with defensive duties when the defence is barely adequate. Good defenders allow the midfield to support the attack. The best attacking teams have very good defenders behind them to give them the leeway to attack. Mark Hughes’ team conceded less premier league goals than any Pulis team with a far worse defence. He did so by taking the pressure off the defence with very able attacking players which allowed sub standard premier league CB’s like Wolleschide (sp?), Wilson and an injury ravaged Shawcross to set that bar. Obviously doesn’t suit your agenda but it happened. Attack really is the best form of defence. It’s a shame Hughes lost faith in it and tried to prove he could out defend a Pulis side, he couldn’t and the rest is history. £25M+ on CB’s gets you relegated if you can’t score goals.

However not suited to being a lone striker. And hides in big games. Big fan of him but we should absolutely steer clear.

I have a feeling he’ll be going for a 433 with an attacking CM. I can see him wanting to start with something similar to ...............…….....Johansson..................…………. Junior...........Wilmot........Coady..........Mcallum .........……….Burger.………..Laurent..........………… …………………………..Cundle……………………………… Manhoef...............Cannon…..................Junho That’s not a bad team that. Add another CB and ST to the squad and we’ll be in a good place

Just read that Conway at BC is down to the last year of his deal and won’t commit to a new contract. I’d be all over that like a rash. I’d still be happy with BTA but I think I’d be even happier with Conway. Please, please Stoke just sign a proper CF.

Prefer Coady on a permanent deal, lets build OUR team / squad, too many loanees doesn't sit well with me. (miserable old bastard me) he would cost to much , loan is right on this occasion

The only time he’s won club accolades was playing as a DM at Reading. He’s ideally made for it physically if not mentally( he needs an injection of nasty).

He was, but looks like his legs have gone. Too slow to react. I'm not too sure about that. I think it's more about commitment than anything else. Commitment with timing tho and I'd agree. He's slow and that's why he gets so many bookings in my opinion, of course.

We should be all over Stansfield He’s not theirs but they’re kidding themselves if they think they’re keeping all those players contract or not. There are a few worth sniffing around there always been impressed with Dembele, would we have another dabble at Sanderson? There’s a few more too ripe for picking off.

Walters might know him too from his Ireland days. The Preston fan who does the Championship youtube channel mentioned him the other day.

Certainly wouldn’t excite me though he is very versatile but I think we’ve got one too many Jack of all trades already.

Has Mcallum signed as well? Seems like people on the Norwich message board think so! It also seems like most of their supporters want to keep him, which is a good sign I'd say!

Yeah Gooch seems very popular with ours but I wouldn’t be overly concerned if we got rid. Him and Leris bug me they’re not good enough to hold down any position long term and yet do exactly the same things as one another. For me one of them should go. I don’t love or hate either they’re just two utility players for the same roles.

Alan Browne, albeit playing out of position, was ran absolutely ragged by our Lyndon Gooch. Goochy had a brilliant time vs him down the left hand side.

Yeah right or maybe he’s just trying to talk up his price or his next loan fee. Don’t know whether you’ve noticed but these manager/coaches lie through their teeth just about every time their lips move.
