If we get the new striker we want that would leave: that guy Mmaee Gallagher Tezgel Koumas That's 5 all fighting for one spot with new guy being a shoe in for majority of games Appreciate Koumas would play wide too Ennis could definitely go if we get the one new striker in If Mmaee goes as well then we'd need another striker Unless we switched to 2 up top which seems highly unlikely Gallagher has been mainly playing as a wide striker, Tezgel may yet become a central striker but doesn't have the physical presence as yet and for my money a loan would be better for his development , Koumas is a wide player and we have no idea about the new striker as yet although it is likely to be a central striker. Not sure its a good idea letting Ennis go until we have another central striker to challenge Mmaee for the role which seems to be the plan. Not sure I'd let Ennis go out unless we sign two forwards. I think he's extremely limited but fine for a 4th choice who'll get hardly any minutes hopefully.

I thought after his sub showing against Coventry it was probably his best contribution in a Stoke shirt. That isn’t saying much but he’s gone from that, to pretty much sold already. Was he injured for last week?

The only thing Ennis is fine for is running the water bottles onto the pitch during a drinks break That's exactly what he'd be doing for all but the odd minute here or there. Exactly what you need, someone to sit on the bench and be used in emergency who's development you're not too fussed about. 4th choice is certainly not a role for a highly regarded young player.

Who on earth would take on his wages to get him out permanently ?
Loan would be the only option .

Ennis is not the issue with our forward line. We need another striker who can be first choice with a decent goal scoring history at this level. Ennis is an ok squad member. New striker, mmaee, gallyger, Ennis, Tezgel.

Need two through the door minimum

At the start of last season, Angela Smith suggested to AN in a pre-match interview that we had the best pool of forwards in the division.

If there is a genuine offer surely we let him go regardless? It'd be nice to get one in first but even if that doesn't materialise, you'd have to think we'd be OK with Gallagher, Mmaee, Tezgel and Koumas.

Getting Ennis out would be a very good move, still need to get rid of a couple more midfielders as well hopefully.

SS has confirmed he's close now. The medics on here said November. A week behind Stevens, who was said to be 'in contention' for Plymouth but likely to be given the break too as a proper recovery period.

The only thing Ennis is fine for is running the water bottles onto the pitch during a drinks break Being very cruel to the lad! Very limited but lots of energy, will run around and hassle the centre backs. Ok to keep on the bench if we are seeing a game out I think, especially as we have 9 on the bench.

Paula Radcliffe can run a lot, doesn't mean I want her as a striker for us 🤷🏻

Hopefully we sell him.
Tbh even with what we have now and no one else coming in it would be daft not to get rid if we have an offer.
