Sam Vokes mk2,but with even less goals.
Ennis could be a 20 goals striker, but it would take him 5/6 seasons to get those 20 goals.

We’re signing Blackburn cast offs.
And Blackburn are widely tipped as relegation contenders.
That’s slightly concerning.

We signed Huth and Tuncay who relegated Middlesbrough Crystal Palace signed Wharton from Blackburn who were fighting relegation Tevez and Mascherano only just survived relegation at West Ham but Liverpool and Manchester United weren’t bothered

We’re signing Blackburn cast offs. And Blackburn are widely tipped as relegation contenders. That’s slightly concerning. Isn't every player who leaves a club a cast off by that logic? Blackburn have one of the best strikers in the league. Will he be a cast off from a relegation contender if he leaves?

I’m trying to think of a worse striker I’ve seen in the near 30 years I’ve been going, and having great difficulty doing so. Do you have to think back that far? Wesley? Gayle? Not a fan of his but he's good enough to be a squad player. He’s pretty awful but as long as he’s nothing more than an option off the bench for a few minutes no problem. If he wants more than that he needs to leave. He’s meant to be an ok league one striker, wouldn’t someone at that level be willing to pay something for him?

Or we signed a player they wanted to keep and who we were apparently in for £5m last year but he'd run his contract down if they didn't sell. Sounds better when it's put like that?

There’s a big difference between Niall Ennis and Stansfield. Gallagher I’m not too unhappy about. Travers I’m not sure.

Has league one written all over him and potentially starting for us in the season opener. That’s a worry.

Blackburn have had a right go at strengthening their forward line though, and they have 'dem dodgy foreign owners' innit? Absent at the wheel and struggling to get cash out of India! I doubt they'll be in the relegation mix...

What pisses me off about the toss signings is they don't add anything and they slow the progress of our young players .
I have no idea if Nathan Lowe is good enough but at his age he needs game time and if he had been given the time Wesley and Ennis have had he would be further forward in his career. now.
I get we might not be able to sign enough quality to improve us much due to the rules but lets have a policy to play youth instead of older players who add nothing , in the end it will bring progress
