Away fans are normally placed in the upper tier of the West Stand (the Leppings Lane) end of the ground, where up to 3,700 away supporters can be accommodated. If there is a particularly large following (or for an FA Cup Tie) then the corner described above may also be made available, plus the lower tier of the West Stand. This can take the allocation up to 8,000. I got the above from the Football Ground Guide…not sure how accurate or up to date it is…all I can think is it’s on safety recommendations or something. I was gonna go this one…oh well it’s about £100 I’ll save lol. Some years back I went to the Sheff Weds v QPR end of season match in QPR's promotion season and they did indeed fill the upper and lower tiers and the corner, a fantastic sight I hadn't realised the open corner was ever used. The open corner is no longer in use, having been condemned as unsafe. It forms a barrier to home fans as well. My company are the MOM sponsors as we are based in Sheffield but I will be flying our flag amongst them

That's fantastic support to be fair 👍 Would be if it was Swansea and not over the hill from Ashbourne At this stage of the season I daresay we would have sold out the amount of tickets Swansea would have allocated us yes.

Didn't we take 6,000 odd there on our first day back in this division in 2002?
Can't see them giving us every possible ticket given the stakes of the game. They'll probably want to limit our support a bit so I reckon this will be it now.

Yes with that bunch of useless wasters for players and a manager who is totally out of his depth the clamour to watch them play is hard to understand We've won 3 out of the last 6. If that's the work of "a manager who is totally out of his depth" then I can't wait to see us under a manager who knows what he's doing Oh dear didn’t you see the smiley face at the end of my post? For the avoidance of doubt I agree with you our points tally since Cardiff away has been excellent and I f***** love Schuey and I can’t wait for the next game!!!

It may even have been more than that but it was absolute chaos around Sheffield with Stoke fans running amok and causing mayhem

Just being lazy here. Is train a viable option. Time wise getting from Station to the ground etc ? Yep you're being lazy, but yes it is an option - via Stockport as Derby route has engineering. It takes around 1.5 hours. A "blue" tram takes you to the ground - 25 minutes. Prices not including the tram will be around 40 quid. You can google the rest.

My favourite away day. I will be sitting in their Kop with a few of my Wendies mates. Good day out round for some beers Sheffield and a few more on my way home to Doncaster. Wendies are shocking at the moment. Wendies 0 - 3 Stoke. Conna weet fer reet.

Why would they give us more tickets when in the relegation scrap with them? They're a business and hardly in position to be turning down income

Mine haven't arrived yet after booking last Thursday, I know it's been bank hol but have others got theirs by post yet? There was quite a bit of shenanigans collecting mine on Monday. The satellite office didn't have them, then there seemed to be some discussion at the main office after the game. They eventually found them. I'd imagine some have only just been sent out - staff holidays being the reason you'd imagine.

Away form under SS is decent 4 wins 1 draw 4 losses. Home form is the problem, so yes you are correct.

Your right mate they are great and always polite. Some folk aren’t happy unless they’re moaning. I’ve put my name on waiting list twice now and both times got tickets.

My Dad brought his old season ticket once and realised at the turnstile- he just said will wait in the car . Went to the ticket office, quick tap on the computer- there you go a replacement ticket , enjoy the game.

I've honestly never had a bad experience at the ticket office so it baffles me when I see comments laying into the staff. Always seems very efficient to me, online and in person.

Its the classic case of you'll only hear the complaints rather than the well done from people who get great service who are likely the vast majority. Good that this thread seems to be showing up a lot of people who are satisfied with the efforts of the ticket office 👍

The ticket office staff and ticket purchasing experience has definitely improved over the years. Usually all gets sorted absolutely fine but even if there has ever been any issues they are usually quick & efficient at resolving them.
I know years ago well before the Premier League period came along there were many issues and complaints made about the ticket office & certain staff but thankfully these days were a long time ago now.
Nothing but 👍🏻 from me
