I remember before the season began someone put up the betting odds for promotion and lodged amid Leicester, Southampton and Leeds was the unlikely name of Ipswich Town. I asked then where on earth had that come from? They had only just escaped League 1 finishing below hapless Plymouth Argyle. I still don't know where it came from but clearly people knew something I didn't!! Wouldn't call any side getting 100 points 'hapless' Think he means hapless this season..

Leeds and Ipswich really aren’t that good. This league is absolute shite. Saying it in your stentorian manner doesn’t make it true. Not sure what criteria you’re using but they both look pretty good to me, albeit in different ways. Getting out of this League is a big ask and the blend has to be right. We’re miles away obviously which goes to show how massive a task next season will be if we stay up. Whoever gets promoted you’re doing them a disservice.

Neither were anything to be worried about and weren’t much better than us. The levels in this league are so low and you don’t need much to do well in it.

Don't disagree to be honest but a slog to get out of. It is for sure. But the standard is so bad. You just need a defence that can head it, kick it and clear it and be competent on the ball and you’re set. And by competent I mean pass it 5 yards. It’s about basics and if you can get even some of them right you’ll do well.

They have a forward who has been around this league and nothing special and no flair about them at all. The game at their place they simply got men around us and picked up every loose ball. I agree, they're not particularly special at all but have a system they're very used to and good at. Hard to play against. Didn't Leeds give them a hiding?

You’ve got 6/7 teams all fighting to avoid relegation. And 4 teams all fighting for promotion.

I have better things to do like watch paint dry. Anyone who actually enjoys the Championship imo can’t like football but that’s their choice and each to their own and all that.

Weren’t you advocating for watching non-league? Do you think that is better than Championship? Absolutely it is. The standard obviously isn’t but the bits that outweigh that mean it’s light years ahead of watching the Championship. I went a game yesterday and for the two of us with entry, a Kit Kat (4fingered 🤣), sausage roll, hot chocolate, can of coke and some chips it cost me £21. There were two teams playing to their strengths, 3 goals, a red card, banter with the players and it’s just so much better. I also went a League One game this season and that makes the Championship look like the Champions League. Christ it was bad.

Strange then that you impart your opinions on the league as a whole as though you are some kind of expert on the subject? Out of interest, do you even attend Stoke matches?

How are there not hundreds and thousands going? Because the standard is crap. That’s why they play in those leagues and no higher. Maybe on your recommendation crowd numbers will swell now 😂

If I did, I’d have a season ticket at Man City.

Leeds looked very good at Elland Road I thought They had a 15-20 minute spell in the first half where I thought they played very well but we were the better side second half and should have come away with a point. They really aren’t that good imo it’s more a reflection of a pretty mediocre league. That said, any team that finishes top two deserve it due to the slog of the Championship.

Looking pretty tasty end to the season. Leicester looked like they were going to romp it but have faltered badly, Leeds have always been hovering, Ipswich looked like they’d run out of steam but now look. It’s sad us not being in it as usual but what a title race in store. If Leicester are somehow avoiding promotion in order to deflect punishment for breaking PSR rules from PL they should think again because apparently PL have asked EFL to impose the punishment if they don’t get promoted. Think there may be more than meets the eye regarding Leicester flouting PSR rules.

Any team that goes up need 7 or 8 new players. Leeds have some real talent but agree are the best in what is always a mediocre league.

It’s not this binary condescending piffle you claim, it’s a tough league. The fact you make out it’s so simple shows an immature naivety that you don’t get. That is fine but don’t expect to be taken seriously when you espouse such a ridiculous argument. You need to realise it’s not just “get decent defence, score goals and it’s that simple” it is both disrespectful and patently wrong, if it was that simple the league would be won every season by anyone who decides to do that. Yes relegated teams are more likely to go up but not always. A lot is down to the manager, the willingness of those players and a lot of luck. Try being more open minded, it’ll give you more credibility on this forum, and less of a source of ridicule. That said, you won’t, and people will continue to take the piss.

I really want Leicester to stay down after their chant, We wont play you no more When they were relegated and we were promoted in 2008 I’m guessing we sung something similar? No, we didn't actually. Leicester fans were delighted with the draw but it didn't spoil the party
