The championship is low quality, that's why I didn't buy into all the "we're so shit we'll defo get relegated". We only need a handful of players to be thinking about the playoffs. The Championship is full of very mediocre sides. I can honestly say I've been impressed with two sides this season. Leicester ripped us a new one. Then I thought Norwich looked decent. Was that down to our shit starting line up and how we set up though. The rest are much the same. Norwich really turned up against us didn't they?! Few championship teams manage that every week. That's why I think we're only a few players away from mounting a playoff run. Or another relegation battle.

I believe SS carefully assessed their players and the threats they posed and then handpicked the team to effectively handle them on that particular day.
It was not just a stroke of genius like the Enda-Stevens selection, which neutralised the tricky JPD on the wing.
Haksa also utilised his skills for tracking back and communicating with Enda, while Cundle played the crucial role of the water carrier, handling all the unnoticed tasks and mopping up. It was a typical Dave Kevan role that often goes unnoticed, as he covered multiple positions throughout the game. He truly came to the rescue of his teammates, even though it may have been overlooked by those who are not well-versed in the game.
Of course, there have been instances where things didn't go as planned in other matches, but today he got it just right. Kudos Steven, you need to be allowed to manage.

Playing your only left back isn’t genius.

I hate my negative ways for saying this.....Did we win because Hull are conserving energy for Leeds on Monday or have we really finally got our shit together ? I doubt Hull were thinking that way, they needed to win this game precisely because they are likely to lose to Leeds. One of the common negative comments on here whenever we manage a win is - "we won because the oppo are shit", never because we made them look shit.

But you can only play what's in front of you and they are only as good as we let them be , so it was down to us playing as a team...

I hate my negative ways for saying this.....Did we win because Hull are conserving energy for Leeds on Monday or have we really finally got our shit together ? I doubt a team going for play offs conserves energy , I doubt any team does anyway If anything we would be the game to win with West Brom dropping points and more likely to take 3 points against and put them in a stronger position before Leeds. They didn't rest their better players like we did from the start which would have indicated they had one eye on Leeds

Possibly and maybe thinking we'd be a pushover Their fans on the forum saw it as a formality Think most of us did when we saw the team Atmosphere was flat at the start of the game However Stoke showed more energy throughout, Hull never got going and we did

Did not see the game, but over these last few years I'd prefer relying on a skilled team getting the work done rather than faith.
