I'd switch Gooch to the right side and put Thompson on the left side - Hoever does my head in. (he's bound to score now isn't he) I wouldn't. I'm a fan of Thompson but fucking hated seeing him LWB. Can Manhoef play there? Think he'd have some joy. |

If scores stay this way, in other games too, we'll have moved up to 21st. If we score a goal, and other games stay the way they are, we'll be 18th. If we score three, and no changes elsewhere, we'll be 17th.

Going on about Preston looking poor, but we have to have some of the credit for that. Ive watched them a few times, they are not always poor and I think we have restricted them really well. Our players have mostly looked up for it, been winning their battles TBF. |

We’ve played well and looked confident, with Ennis and Manhoef on the bench we have decent options, keep it up Stoke, we can win this one. If that's us playing well then I'd hate to see what we are like when we aren't playing well. Same old toothless, mind numbingly boring football that we've been playing for far too long now. Two horrificly shit football teams producing sleep inducing stuff so far. It’s all relative, but it’s a massive improvement on our performance away at Blackburn not so long ago, and a massive improvement on the performance away at Cardiff. I think Schumacher will be reasonably happy with that (not that he ever looks particularly happy - but I don’t mind an angry manager at times). |

It's only better because the team we are playing have been shit as well, and haven't looked like scoring either. We have been the better side but it's been an awful watch yet again so far and we are so poor it makes your eyes bleed. |
