With Bristol City grabbing a late equaliser and Birmingham v Huddersfield to come I think we're finally safe. We'll get some more points anyway but even if we don't I think it's done. It's not been pretty but credit for getting over the line. Goooarn Stoke 💖 Bore off shit bin

Lose to Plymouth and we could easily be teetering on the brink of entering the relegation zone with a tough match at Southampton to follow. Win and we’ll be safe. We’ll probably draw and who knows where that’ll leave us!
At least Port Vale blew it today and that’s probably more relevant to the original post obviously on a wind-up.

I really don't understand how people think we're not. Birmingham v Huddersfield. They can't both win. Sheff Weds the worst side I've seen all season after Rotherham. Understand this. If Sheff Wed and Huddersfield win and we lose against a Plymouth side that looked decent last night, that leaves Birmingham on 45 and us, Sheff Wed and Huddersfield on 47 with 2 games to go. We are not safe!

1 more win will be enough. Lets hope it doesn't go to the last game of the season. Ideally we want Leicester to beat Southampton before our game too so they haven't got a sniff of automatic promotion

😂 The OP knows very well we have at least another week of shitting ourselves. If we win next week and reach the 50 points mark, even though it won't be mathematical, that's the time we can probably breathe easier and risk putting our posh underpants on. Some weird maths going on here today Brum and Huddersfield could easily both win next week, looking at their games. A loss for us then a couple of goals is all that's keeping us out of the bottom 3, with 2 to play.

I'm on a stag do last game of the season so I really hope we get it done before then so I can enjoy myself without this stress.
I've become an absolute bellend on Saturdays from 3-5pm. Hate myself for it.

Gimmes for Huddersfield and Birmingham next weekend so anything other than a win and we are done Given southamton need to win every game so no resting players for them and they play Leeds on the last day

That means even a draw would put us below Brum on goal difference. The other factor is Southampton, they have a mammoth 10 days where they have Preston, Cardiff and Leicester before we go there. Lose one of them and they're mathematically safe and I could see us going there and getting something, win them all and they're playing us needing a win and we're fucked. Putting it simply we HAVE to beat Plymouth next week in my opinion......

Hate myself for it. Noticed your posts during the match because at least a couple of times, was about to post something similar, then saw yours. - I was pissed off, hell we all were. This rollercoaster is turning a lot of us into bellends on Saturdays. My goal now is to come out of this season without PTSD.

Our goal difference compared to Huddersfield isn't even that great either. A 2-0 win for them at brum and a 2-0 loss against Plymouth puts the GD level.
Huddersfield could beat Swansea next week. Sheff wed could beat Blackburn next week. Birmingham should beat Rotherham next week.
If all three win and we lose then we could be in the relegation zone with Huddersfield ahead on goals scored.
If that happens then the final 2 games for each club are:
Stoke City - Southampton (a), Bristol (h) Huddersfield - Birmingham (H), Ipswich (A) Birmingham - Huddersfield (A), Norwich (H) Sheff Wed - WBA (H), Sunderland (A)
QPR could also potentially still be dragged back in our Blackburn/Plymouth too to a much lesser degree.
QPR - Preston (H), Leeds (H), Coventry (A) Blackburn - Sheff Wed (H), Coventry (H), Leicester (A) Plymouth - Stoke (A), Millwall (A), Hull (H)
Still alot to play for and looks like it will go to the wire. What's happening at the top is just as important as what's happening at the bottom too. You'd sort of hope things at the top will go to the wire too so that Leicester, Hull, Ipswich and Norwich all have something to play for on the final day.

Last weekend's results saw Rotherham go down and Swansea slip into a any 2 from 9 relegation scrap.
A week later Swansea, Millwall and probably Blackburn are safe. It's now realistically 2 from 6 and next week probably down to 2 from 4.
I recommend everyone has several changes of undies ready.

Weren't we 20-1 3 games ago? Something like that. We’ve definitely underperformed the past few games and the other results haven’t been favourable.

I think we have one of the easier last 3 games. 2 hone games which are very winnable. We have a 3 point cushion and slightly better goal difference. If we do drop down from this position it will be deserved and we only have ourselves to blame

We need to go for a win! 4 3 3 and an attacking minded approach! ......................Iversen....................... Junior..........McNally......Rose...........Stevens ..............Laurent........Burger................ .......................Bae......................... Manhoef...............Leris................Campbell Subs from: Bonham, Wilmot, Hoever, Thompson, Baker, Cundle, Haksa, Vidigal, Ennis I know Leris is a square peg in a round hole, but he is better in the air than Ennis, he is also better on the ball and he is stronger. I would try this as we have nothing to lose by playing Leris instead of Ennis. Campbell is much better on the wing and is our only player with decent pace too.

It would be quite a stunt to get relegated from there. Having said that we're perfectly capable of it!

It would be quite a stunt to get relegated from there. Having said that we're perfectly capable of it! On paper to a neural it’s not a bad run in…. BUT The Plymouth players could be playing with a new found sense of freedom and very eager to put one over their old manager who deserted them. Southampton away isn’t one you would pick especially if they are in with a shout of the top two. We’ve lost the last 5 home matches to Bristol City and there’s nothing to suggest that they won’t make it 6! Throw into the mix Birmingham travelling to Rotherham, Huddersfield at home to a now mid table Swansea, Sheff Wed playing a now safe Blackburn. The week after Huddersfield playing Birmingham whilst West Brom (and we saw how poor they were last weekend) travel to Hillsborough. Alongside all of that the other teams seem to have a bit more momentum than we do! It could well be bloomin tight and I think the 9/1 odds on getting relegated are generous. Saying all of that I think we’ll scrape past Plymouth and we’ll all say what was the big drama!?
