there is nothing embarrassing about a point against the league leaders, we were the beter side, and on another day we may have had a penalty, and fuller may have took those great chances.
The football wasn't just " hoofball " today, at times when we had the ball on the deck we played some nice stuff, and to be honest, entertainment or not, we have sa great chance of promotion playing like this.
The defence was excellent, even with the absence of Shawcross, and the midfield worked hard, but once again it showed that we lack creativity, which hopefully can be brought in, in january.
People are also quick to jump on the back of fuller, he worked hard today, charged the keeper down, which in the past he has shown reluctancy to do, his chances came and he didn't take them true, but his running at defenders and beating them, very nearly resulted in goals at times.
Blackpool away next week will be tough, but it's hard to back against us, we are played well, with confidence and belief, and as i say on another day could have took three points today.
We have strength's in the team, height, power, so why not use them to our advantage?
There is nothing embarrassing about playing to you strength's, many sides do it and win games, look's at drogba at chelsea, he's used as a target man.
We out of most sides in the league, are the worst to have to play against, for the opponents, nobody enjoy's playing us, which is a good thing.
top effort today, well done TP and the lads.

Agreed, it wasnt a good game to be fair and either side could have won it. No doubt Boothroyd will have something disparaging to say about stoke but, his team will know theyve been in a game
The real difference was in the subs at the end -they bring on Ellington to try and win it, we bring on - well the man with an ironing board glued to his back (Lee Buxton)
also, great save by their goalie at the end to deny Fuller

When you say EVERYBODY is laughing at us, does this include the NINETEEN Championship clubs who are below us in the table at the moment?

I quite enjoyed today. We got a decent result against arguably one of the best teams in the league. We played well and had the better chances. A return of 11 points from 15, is excellent and we are in a decent league position.

I compalin about our lack of quality at times... but there was nothing, NOTHING, to be embarrassed about today a point against the league leaders, with the better of the chances to win it.
You know nothing.

I coudnt disagree more, we outplayed the table toppers and but for some rubbish refeereing and some poor finishing we should have beaten them well. We have a great chance of promotion this season due to the lack of a team with any real quality and we will definately be making some signings in Jan. Embarrasing? I could think of a few teams who wouldnt mind being in our poosition!

"everyone is laughing at us "
Dont talk pi$$ed up. We are 5th in the table after playing the top team, whom we should have beat out of sight. We have just signed Salif Diao for FREE. The January transfer window is just over 3 weeks away and we have money to spend. Laughing at us my ar$e

Embarassing?????
That was a club that are top of the league you know. We got 3 points in the week in what was always likely to be an extremely tough tie and we also drew against the the top of the league. That's 4 points from 2 tricky games and we are still well up there. SKY were very negative in their commentary but who cares about them. All that happened was there were two sides (us and Watford) that cancelled each other out very very similar tactics. Granted the game lacked width but that is something you cannot give that Watford side. Was always going to be tight.
The moaning that goes on shocks me sometimes. Hook or by crook a points is better than a hiding.

Only the starter of the thread is moaning. He probably didnt even go and thinks he is qualified to pass judgement because he 'watched it on the telly' Ignore him.

Embarrassing???? Are tell you whats embarrasing about stoke city, the sheer number of moaners and stay aways.
The only way your club can progress at this point is with pragmatic football, see the bigger picture. Why see it as a boring game, see it as one point close to the playoffs.
Swallow your foolish pride back pulis and coates

Yes indeed. Hendrie faffed us about and dithered and strutted through it all as if he could pick and choose. Look where he is and look where we are? And we are embarrassed? No chance.
