Bit of a scoop for the Beeb in fairness that Nicholas Witchell was able to report live from the scene as the colonoscopy past by him! Post of the day. 🤣

Having gone through surgery, 6 months chemotherapy and 4 years of follow up scans, I know what he is going through and wish him well and full recovery. The fact that buck house are not revealing what type of cancer it is has a double edged sword imo. By revealing what the cancer is would give hope to those who had it. On the other hand just saying he has an unspecified cancer gives hope to many more people. Last night we talked and tried to speculate what the fate of Camilla would be if he didn’t survive. Unlike when King George 6th died royal privilege was bestowed upon his widow because, although she was not of royal birth, she was bloodline mother to Princess Elizabeth and Margaret and given the official title of Queen mother. However this is not the case with Camilla and I don’t think there is a precedent. So what do oatcakes think will happen to her? Good to hear your well on the mend Hopefully its too early to speculate on what may happen to Camilla but I expect it will follow some precedent like Queen Mary of Teck, Consort of George V, also not of the Blue Blood. A curious Lady by all accounts maybe shaped by her Clinically Insane Father and her Mother's propensity for luxury which bankrupted the family. This may have been the reason she adopted Kleptomania as a hobby, Meissen being a favourite when she visited houses. So too may have been her engagement to Albert Victor (another very curious individual) to be dashed by his death only weeks before the Wedding. All's well though as she married his Brother George a year later and the rest is history as they say.

I remember watching BBC as Queen Elizabeth lay on her deathbed. There was clearly, imo, a scrap between Witchell, as royal correspondent, and Edwards, as senior news broadcaster, to be first to announce her death. It was truly pathetic. Jenny Bond was much better and more light hearted, for want of a better description and a great shame she relinquished her role.

For me it was a rare duodenal cancer that at first surgeon thought that it was the dreaded pancreatic cancer. However when he went to perform a Whipple procedure found my pancreas clear but had to do a duodenal resection to remove the tumour. There was also cancerous lymph nodes around the tumour so hence 6 months chemotherapy. Anybody with this type of cancer there is hope if caught early.

FFS, can they not just let the man recover quietly. There was a live camera on Buckingham Palace earlier, what were they expecting for him to scale the fence wearing a "Fuck Cancer" t-shirt?

I read somewhere that it was decided before Charles' coronation that if Camilla outlives him her title would be Queen Dowager. She'd remain in the royal family officially but take a back seat in the day to day activity.

No issue with you naming me (I’m just very impressed that you take such an interest in my posts). Let’s face it no one’s perfect certainly not Charles and there are times he’s acted badly (including your attachment) which can’t be defended but he’s also done some very good stuff which I’m sure you’d never dream of highlighting. That said if the person highlighted in that thread was very ill I’d be wishing him the best in relation to getting well too not bringing politics into what is a thread wishing someone with cancer the very best re getting better. The problem with you and others is that you allow politics to make you so bitter towards your fellow human if they’re born into privilege (not there fault) or they don’t agree with your political idealism. If you don’t wish someone with cancer your best wishes then sometimes the best things to say nothing. As Badger said if it was Corbyn or one of your poster boys that was ill I’d like to think that I wasn’t bitter enough not to wish him well without adding some snide comment. That particular post of yours stood out because you went on to talk about Hypocrisy I have wished Charles Well .... you've just quoted it I bear no I'll will towards Charles or any of the Royal Family, well maybe Andrew. I just find the whole forelock tugging to a person due to accident of birth rather feudal. No one's fooled by your and Huddys token 'I wish him well' statements before sticking the boot in and making it political as usual. There's another royalty thread and as Cobs said, if you're not going to stick on point here (about Charles having cancer), then best not to post and drag the thread down to your level. Show some class.

Fighting for the rights of every man and his dog. Posting about how you're furious about injustices, etc. If only you shameless heartless fuckers actually abided by it. As I said earlier, you've got no class.

Incredible! Understand they are hoping for footage of any injections that might be needed. It will certainly help with their plans for “action replays” and “post jab analysis”!

My niece was sent to AnE by her doctor today and is still waiting to be even seen over 7 hours later. Probably an even longer wait for her and my sister in a very ‘totally chaotic’ environment. Well done to Charlie who has probably gone from consultation to treatment in less time. Welcome to Broken Britain.

Not interested in the Monarchy either way but hardly a good comparison

Well done to Charlie who has probably gone from consultation to treatment in less time. Welcome to Broken Britain. I'm very sorry to hear of your Nieces experience, I hope she receives the Medical Attention she deserves soon Basic Triage of patients is not being performed at A&E due to overcrowding of resources resulting in worse outcomes or even worse. Nobody wishes Charles anything other than Professional Treatment and a Speedy recovery As the Nation received minute by minute updates on Charles condition via BBC QR Code which emphasised that early diagnosis was essential to a positive outcome The essential disparity in the NHS System was exposed The waiting times via GP to receive an NHS Consultation have become so stretched that outcomes have greatly deteriorated Those that can afford to pay for an early diagnosis by a Consultant to fast track into NHS have much better outcomes.... UNDER THE NHS

He is. It’s terrible how people on both sides of the coin use the illness of the king to point score rather than just wishing him well.
