Throwing a young inexperienced manager and a collection of unequally unknown coaches was always a worry. Signing Cundle set off the alarm bells for me. I thought John Coates reasoning as to why he got the job on Thursday night spoke volumes in that clearly he hadn't got a clue about him beyond he got Plymouth promoted on over 100 points and that he is a 'nice guy around the club' The answer to the last question was more telling. There is nothing positive about this club at the moment at all.
A manager who is trying to fix extreme squad indiscipline in a totally naive way.
Indiscipline brought about by some of the worst recruitment we've ever seen.
Itself brought about by an apparent lack of distance between the previous management and transfer staff.
Itself brought about by board incompetence over the course of a decade.
There's just no fixing this - set coordinates for Burslem.

He spotted how poor Gooch was, nowhere near his position for either of the first two goals. Pearson has to start, despite his limitations, he is a better player than Baker or Thompson. Ennis and Campbell wide of Maaee gets our three best forwards of the pitch and Haks in behind |

I think we are reaching the point where you just have to accept the inevitability of relegation and try to make little bits of progress through getting whichever players that may have a long term future at the club out on the park and giving them all the backing we can.
Give SS support and hope for the best whilst being prepared for the worst.
The time for getting angry has sadly passed.

Totally the wrong person for the job, this is entirely down to Jon Coates. A very, very young inexperienced manager placed in a toxic environment and has been for years. Shame on you Jon Coates and the Coates family. Sell up What was Martin’s role? |
