Why? We go to watch the game, not stare at the manager's face! He always gets his teams playing decent stuff He hates us almost as much as I hate him. I think his hatred would soon dissipate if a big money contract plus a war chest was in the offing. That’s not to say I’m in favour of him coming here; I dislike him as much as any other Stokie. On Radio Stoke before the game, Ian Cranson was recommending Nigel Pearson for the job. I could see his point about instilling discipline and identity, but he always comes across as a bit unhinged. His appointment would really consolidate our image a a basket case club, ostriches and all.

I’d take Terry Winner, played under some great managers both as a player and as a coach, sets the standard, knows what quality looks like and we could go back to everyone hating us again Would command the respect of any dressing room and no more half arsed performances What’s not to like John Terry

Roberto Martínez . Don't ask me why I just want to hit him in the gob with a wet kipper every time he speaks.

The one man that I think would bore me to the point of packing in Stoke City Football Club was Dean Smith.
I don’t know why - beyond the obvious reasons that he’s shit - but there’s clearly worse candidates (not many) yet Dean Smith would be the death of my love for Stoke I think.
Thank you Charlotte FC!

No doubt he’d get some performances out of the players and/or their wives.

What’s wrong with McKenna and Corberan? Have you proposed them? Yes. Consistently so with Corberan.

Names proposed by March, Gingerninja and Vidigal7 What’s wrong with McKenna and Corberan? Perhaps the fact that neither are remotely realistic.

What’s wrong with McKenna and Corberan? Perhaps the fact that neither are remotely realistic. Corberan is very realistic. Club with financial problems facing a takeover where his job will be in doubt. And he could leave now and double his money. Of all the employed managers, he is as realistic as they come.

In your fantasy world where the Coates are able to chuck money at the wall without consequences. It would say something really poor about either Corberan or McKenna if they swapped their positions to come to us purely for a bit of extra cash. Enough so in fact to make you not want them.

How very dare you! Just because I'm an old fashioned Frank Lampard, Stevie G and John Terry type candidate. I bought Cranny and Bertie don't you know and inspired this very fanzine!

Would never stop coming to games, I'm in for life (you get less for murder these days, as my mother would say) but Dean 'Chic' Holden would be an extremely uninspiring 'yes man' style appointment, as would Vinegar Tits Mowbray - arrogant, self righteous bellend who would alienate the fan base due to his previous comments. Steve Bruce wouldnt fill me with any great excitement either - and would surely be the sign that lessons will never be learnt.

I think TP was just divisive in general - the style of play alienated some, let alone some off the stuff said in interviews. But, for Me, TP is pound for pound our greatest ever manager, considering the achievements he had here (both spells) and having to work under the yesterday men and their inept mates, even though he could be mind numbingly negative too often - what's happened since he left and his foundations dismantled only proves it even further for me.
