Eustace will be at the ground tomorrow and will be named on Wednesday. Hmmm he’ll be at the match and do a Brian Little, wasn’t Brian Little but who was the bloke who watched us then never signed??

It appears to be a game of total luck. On the face of it it wouldn't be an ideal appointment. But he might turn out to be the right man for now and go on to galvanise the club and end up a legend. Total guess work but who the fuck knows one way or the other. Agree it is guesswork just needs a manager to click like TP did But you have to eliminate certain criteria to get what you think is right at that time. Eustace May end up somewhere else and do well but that doesn’t mean he would do the business here Who knows. I've given up caring who it is I just want whoever it ends up as being the one who brings us some stability and makes following Stoke fun again. This last 6 or so years has been utter dog shyte. Awful beyond belief given the parachute payments we've had. Its an embarrassment that seriously needs to stop. Before we end up the lb 4 lb worst team in all the leagues. All things considered we are simply appalling

Hopefully approached and arrested by the Police for impersonating a football manager.
Our owners have made enquiries about their first British choice and that has not gone well so down they go to British option number 2 and then 3 and 4 until they eventually find any owd British twat that wants a job, the mind boggles at who it could be this time round.
All the time just dismissing all of the the potentially great foreign options - what a fantastic way to run a club in what is a ruthless and competitive business and here we are in the 21st century not even contemplating 95% of the market because their mother happened to shat them out on a lump of mud that is not part of the British Isles.
They have to go for me - had enough of them - we don't need a crystal ball we are all just waiting for the inevitable which is another dour British no-hoper.

Title is unimportant. He’s the one in charge. I have seen enough incompetent executives to know you are sometimes better off without them. McNally is decent. rose is terrible, Gooch is all over the place, Clark had retired (and worse than Rose) and we’ve never seen Junior. Well I’m pretty sure he didn’t recommend Gooch or instruct AN not to pick Junior. Weren’t too many saying Rose was terrible after 4 clean sheets, personally I always thought he was just keeping Wilmot’s place warm for him. It was admitted in the meet the manager fiasco that AN, JC and RM are part of a committee that makes all the decisions. Can you imagine Pep, Klopp or even Pulis for that matter operating under those conditions? Makes me wonder why two loanees didn’t even make it through half a season and were either recalled or sent back. No explanation was ever given for Travers’ recall, except some lame excuse that recall of keepers is allowed at the request of the loaning club. I bet he couldn’t wait to get out. Rose has been terrible from day 1, so has Hoever who has been exploited mercilessly. Gooch is a mediocre right back or right wing back but not a left back - he’s terrible at that position. Unfortunately the three clean sheets were an aberration that was quickly figured out by QPR, SW and Plymouth, arguably three of the four worst teams in the league. We just joined that unenviable group and based on recent performances only Rotherham are worse (and I am not even sure we can beat them today). Tomorrow will be a big test of the players’ character. Maybe we’ll get a “no manager bounce”.

Maybe we’ll get a “no manager bounce”. Yes it’s the same basis as Man City and Liverpool work on in player trading. Pulis no he couldn’t work with anyone he couldn’t dictate to. The Travers recall was explained in minute detail, which you don’t seem to have understood as you think it’s at the whim of the loaning club. Your opinions on players are just opinions.

And yet he signed a 2 month contract with Leicester 👍 Premier league Leicester not struggling championship side Stoke. Only an up and comer or a geriatric would take this gig on a trial basis. Mowbray might accept an 18month deal cuz he’s pretty old. Neil Warnock does in the Championship and I’m sure their many other examples too

Referring to the thread title change it just goes to show what ITKers, even those in the so called media, actually know. And to think some on here were actually losing their shit over this.

Totally agree, Names will be thrown around all over the place. Because journalists have to create a story even if one isn't there.. ..unless they've already lined someone up this'll take a little while.

Neil Warnock does in the Championship and I’m sure their many other examples too Warnock doesn’t want the security and doesn’t know how long he’s willing to commit to himself. It’s not any regular sort of thing. A relatively hungry and inexperienced coach with a point to prove would take that sort of chance too. For an established manager it’s like letting your property out for a weekend when it might scupper a fortnights booking. It’s just something you learn to avoid.

That’s the whole point of pointing out Dean Smith & Neil Warnock. Managers work on short term deals unless it suits your argument. You said no one does yet I have pointed out 2 x examples that do but you have got an excuse why they are the exception
