He had too much time to think about it. The Wednesday players on the edge of the box talking to the ref for a good long time. Good strategy on their part. Like in the NFL when the defending coach calls a time-out to "ice" the kicker. Worked well for them.

I thought it was every bit as soft as the QPR one last week. As for Wesley.  Crouch used to get plenty of stick for not being as good in the air as someone his height should have been but watching Wesley trying to work out where to run and "jump" when the ball is in the air is like watching a 7 year old wrestling with Quantum Theory.  |

Our penalty record is beyond shocking. At a guess I bet we've missed 12 to 15 of the last 20. Feels like that anyway. Not had a decent peno taker since big Chris Iwelumo |
