UK manager bad foreign manager good? Eustace appears to be a good manager no? You sound foreign, Hyaduck demands you’re installed as head coach forthwith Don't think is any German in our bloodline although I did used to enjoy the show Tutti Frutti on late night TV which was a German game show that not a single living person knew the rules to but they didn't really matter .

What a strange decision.
Eustace is doing a good job there.
It’s enough of a lottery finding a manager who suits your club to dispense with one who does.

Strange Percy comments again, after a veiled dig at the Stoke situation re: Neil after our defeat on Saturday?. What has he said now?

Obscene.
What formation do Birmingham play, would Eustace be happy with a 433 or 4231?
Neil needs time and long term we need stability, but Eustace coming here would be romantic. Although could see Watford going in for him shortly.

Wasn't keen on the idea yesterday but after 24 hours of thinking about it it's probably worth a punt if he's installed as head coach, he'd be able to fit in alongside Tricky and JaredStat without too much upheaval.

Being practical it's going to have to be someone JC would appoint Looks a really good fit atm and could be done really quickly

Two weeks for him to get to know the squad.
It makes sense.
Which is exactly why we won’t do anything.

As if JC is going to sack a manager he's just backed and let remodel the squad after 11 games for the flavour of the month with no c.v of note to speak of. Haha come on now, be sensible haha

No it doesn't make sense We know our board won’t appoint a foreign manager, has the stoke connection, won’t be too expensive seeing as the severance package for Neil will probably be quite substantial, means JC has to put minimal thought into it, seems like an appointment we’d make.

Just how many games does Neil have to lose before the penny drops? (I'm fully expecting him to get tired of the gelling/injuries excuse soon and resort to blaming the weather.) Eustace has done a fabulous job with Birmingham. They were a basket case when he joined them. And this season, they're looking excellent.

He’d be the first manager who has actually proven he can turn a no hope club around. We absolutely should be going for him.

No neither do I, I'm pretty sure he'll take injuries and games to acclimatise foreign players into account aswell as time to mould 17 players into a team. He's not about to restructure the club from top to bottom and give it 11 games

No way Eustace is replacing Neil anytime soon.
That said, I think we could do a hell of a lot worse.

After our next three games we could easily find ourselves in the bottom three with pretty much a third of the season played. It is a tough run of fixtures.

Nobody had any idea that the axe was not only out of the sheath, but fully sharpened and ready to be deployed on MON. And then on a quiet Thursday morning - Wham Bam Thank You M'am just 5 games into the season. There was a presumption that the fact the MON-John relationship was strong made him untouchable for a while longer...until it suddenly didn't. Even on Axemas Eve, people were still saying "well, it won't be any time soon" oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/305392/axe-finally-fallen-on-mon

Any new man coming in is going to have the same injuries isn't he. Personally I think when we've got these players back fit and now they're coming into the time where they've played a few games and they're settling in to a new country, new team mates etc then improved performances and results will naturally follow. I don't think we've been that bad all things considered, a few of these games we've lost points through the finest of margins, that's without a notable pre-season as a group for 17 new playersand well they're acclimatising to new surroundings. We need to get the players fit and playing together, it's as simple as that for me. Yes we need to improve at centre back areas but these things can be worked on. I'd give him until Christmas I would because some of these signings look good

He was inviting the Board to sack him. I haven’t seen anything to suggest Neil’s relationship with the Board is broken.

I think people really are kidding themselves if they imagine AN is going anywhere soon. I fully believe that the owners don’t want to sack him. Many more abject defeats/performances like Hull and they won’t have much choice.
