The injuries as ever were systematic of a coach that can’t keep a squad fit. Something we’ve seen a lot. It wasn’t and never is bad luck. The way we went about it after his first season was cowardly. He totally shat himself. We went from a free flowing side to a team that sat deep. It was poor. He was backed well and ultimately like every manager we’ve had since relegation failed. Wrong again, you’re completely rewriting history to suit a narrative. We lost both first choice goalkeepers to long term injuries at the same time and had to recall that hopeless lad Bursik in an emergency. We then lost Campbell when he was flying and simply couldn’t replace his output. The nature of those injuries had fuck all to do with bad coaching, it was rank bad luck and this nonsense claim that he was “backed well” is pure and simple horseshit. Which was down to bad coaching techniques and periodisation. As it always is….. It’s not. He spent money. He had expensive loans. He had expensive freebies.

The free ride that idiot gets by some is incredible. The initial job he did was amazing. After that, same old shit, different day. Hence why the coward has gone back to his comfort blanket. You really take it to the limit. Why don't you fuck yourself off. 5 wins on the bounce and one defeat in 11 and you just cant wait to be a cunt Again. Have you been asleep for 7 years. You don’t care about this club. You can’t.

I couldn’t tell you sold him 🤣 I don’t like him because he actually showed he could play exciting attacking football and then totally bottled it because Leeds battered us. It was pathetic. That’s the reason I didn’t like him. Don’t show me what you can do and then totally turn your back on that for dour negative football. It’s why Schumacher lost me and will struggle to get me back.

He also lost his best young attacker due to injury and couldn’t replace him.

In the end it was the same old attitudes that did for us. The attitudes I was fighting. No ambition. Low standards. And accepting second best. Bit of course people don’t want to see it like that because they have no ambition for this club. And that genuinely saddens me.

And being shown what he could do in that first season of his season and then going back on that is what did it for me. He’s ultra safe ultimately and that shows with his next career move.

We have had a series of managers who can’t keep plauers fit. It is down to two things. Bad recruitment and poor training methods. It’s all part of the failures of this club to get a grip of anything football wise in this time period. It’s so consistent as the same people who have no idea what they are doing hire the same sort of people who make the same sort of mistakes and this grand delusion of bad luck carries on. The next man will be different. They won’t.

I’ve looked back and we played 11 matches in five weeks during late November and into December (10 league and one league cup QF against Spurs). It was far too much and we suffered in my opinion.

That’s when I lost respect. That Spurs QF was the game as well where you could see Souttar wasn’t a PL player in waiting bless him. Run ragged.

We put in horrible performance away at Wigan and lost to Middlesbrough at home.

The following season the defence was much better, but we were still scoring plenty with Campbell, Fletcher and Powell up front.

I'd snap their hands off for 4m, get Helik from Huddersfield as his replacement and a younger CB who can develop and learn his trade. So you are advocating we go for a 28 year old Central Defender who has on his CV in England two relegations in four years with Barnsley and Huddersfield. 🙄. Let’s imagine the club took your advice that would mean we would be left with 2 x 28 year old CB’s + 1x31 year old CB and I assume “younger CB who can develop and learn his trade“ you mean under 20’s Dixon and Anderson. You believe that strategy would be progressive in the Championship? Robert Huth was a CB we signed from a relegated club. By all accounts, Helik was pretty much player of the season at both clubs. You can still be a good player in a relegated side, you know. By younger I mean 22 or so, someone to bridge the gap between the first teamers and the 17 year olds who need a year or 2 of u-21 games yet, maybe a loan too. We let Baker & Okagbue go so need others in that age group. I always thought with age came wisdom.....
