He is one of 4 players imo who should not be anywhere near a starting line up alongside Gooch, Thompson and Laurent.
These players should either be competing to get on our bench, or be playing somewhere else.
We will always struggle with these as regulars.
The odd good game doesn't cut it and leaves us consistently vulnerable to results like today. Nothing to do with 'hating'.

He’s absolutely garbage. “Absolutely Garbage” Can you explain how you’ve come to that conclusion which differs from several managers who have consistently put his name on the starting 11 team sheet about 100 times during his SCFC career which has been disrupted by extensive periods of injury. Is he part of team “who” have defensive duties when the opposition have the ball, are fellow players fully carrying out allocated responsibilities? I’m just interested in trying to understand your quite specific opinion. Several managers… who nearly got us relegated to League One. The haters are out in force tonight. There is nothing wrong with Wilmot as a Championship defender and I would say he's better than some who played for us in the Premier. We can't even find a back up Central defender so why would we want to put ourselves in the situation of needing a first choice who would cost money which we need to spend on at least one good striker and a couple of full backs Totally agree, I don’t think he is that bad at all. The whole team needs slaughtering for that second half because they lost shape, started panicking and basically let Watford bully them. Even prime Beckenbauer couldn’t have held that lot together….Hull can F off. |

So you are advocating we go for a 28 year old Central Defender who has on his CV in England two relegations in four years with Barnsley and Huddersfield. 🙄. Let’s imagine the club took your advice that would mean we would be left with 2 x 28 year old CB’s + 1x31 year old CB and I assume “younger CB who can develop and learn his trade“ you mean under 20’s Dixon and Anderson. We lost both first choice goalkeepers to long term injuries at the same time and had to recall that hopeless lad Bursik in an emergency. The nature of those injuries had fuck all to do with bad coaching, it was rank bad luck and this nonsense claim that he was “backed well” is pure and simple horseshit. |
