He could finally be reunited with Wesley after spunking £22m on him….. Indeed. Still a less horrifying prospect than Colin or that goblin Muscat being anywhere near the club.

You would think we would tick alot of boxes for Eustace, yet it's all conjecture surely, as we don't even know if the board like him, or even if Neil is under any pressure at all.

Wherever AN goes next, he will be successful. He’s a good manager at this level

Its the kind of "Gift Horse" Stoke never Get. An ex player who the fans would like and give a bit of leeway too. Done well with no money and got a club into the top six. Dont think its the kind of manager that JC would ever go for.......

So was Rowett & Jones and to a certain extent O'Neil
All the hallmarks for me of another Scfc managerial appointment masterclass.
Won't happen anyway, JC will wait to see what we're doing when we can pick our best players to play together at the same time

No experience in squad building No promotions The c.v is small No, if Neil went what we need is somebody with experience to grab the bull by the horns, someone with a profile the players can look up to and who overseas players want to sign for. Not yet seen a better name mentioned than Michael Laudrup. How ambitious are we?

He had what, one good season at Swansea back in the day? That’s not ambition, it’s lunacy.

Won Swansea their first major cup. Imagine turning your nose up at Michael Laudrup and calling for John Eustace, ffs, haha

Lee Carsley mentioned as someone Birmingham considered. He'd maybe be a decent candidate for us as others have mentioned - but there has been a suggestion he's turned down bigger jobs theathletic.com/4945536/2023/10/10/birmingham-tom-brady-rooney-eustace/Eustace’s departure was met with shock and surprise by the players, who were not warned in advance of Birmingham’s official statement and only found out about his departure by reading about it online. They have been given no hint as to what comes next either, and no indication from the club that the appointment of Rooney is on the cards. The 43-year-old was well-liked and held in high regard by the players, who enjoyed his training sessions. He was said to be especially popular among the younger members in the squad. England Under-21 manager Lee Carsley was under consideration to replace Eustace but Rooney is now the leading candidate to take over following his departure from D.C. United on Saturday.

Not saying he hasn't done well there Eustace has worked wonders since joining Brum. They took four points of us last season and looked a very solid team. They then got some decent players in the summer, including Sanderson who we were in for. He’s now progressed them further to the playoffs and unbeaten at home. Second best defense in the league also. Regardless of him playing for us. He is the stand out candidate.

To have to play Ipswich, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester away already is quite something really.

Is giovanni van bronckhorst another name we could add to this list. A league title and two cups at feyenoord, plus a European final and a cup with rangers, been out of work since November
