Why is Bae not getting in most people's teams?
I didn't watch or listen to the game on Saturday so can't comment but he is easily our highest rated player on the championship stats.

You can never tell with Neil's injury comments, but you wonder how long Vidders, Stevens and Mmaee will be. Could be weeks yet.

Is no one considering dropping Ben “walking yellow card” Pearson? How he expects to play at full throttle when he’s on egg shells every game is beyond me? And this is an experience pro we’re talking about….. I agree, he is not at his best currently. His booking on Saturday was brainless. More importantly, he is off the pace and playing too deep without getting on the ball to start attacks. As a result, the midfield is starched too far limiting our ability to press effectively. I would play Burger as the deepest midfielder with Leris and Johnson either side to give our central striker more support running power. A few games on the bench might wake Pearson up

He looked off the pace and a little nervous though May be in part because he was playing out of position in a frontline that didn’t suit him. I would prefer he is introduced gradually plying as a 10.

I think haskabanovic is a little like Arnie in his manner So If I had to go for a striker , who isn't really a striker , I would go for Haskabanovic over Campbell. Because Arnie wasn't really a striker, but could play as a striker and often did for west ham. I am very happy to see Campbell dropped because he deserves to be dropped. If he does play, the most sensible place to play him is wide right. He is a threat cutting in onto his left foot. It's just about the only thing he's any good at . Arnie was much bigger and stronger than Haksabanovic Unfortunately we really don't have players comparable to Arnie who knows if or when we will again. It's been too long already.

Stats are useful but do not tell the whole story. Firstly Bae is a young man who has moved to a completely different country, culture and a very different footballing environment to the one he came from. He clearly is talented but he needs time to settle in every aspect of his life and I think for now injuries allowing needs to be used from the bench. He was miles off the pace, needed far too much time on the ball & was physically wanting. AN really has to be very careful with him in my opinion. Get him in the gym, let him bed in, give him time otherwise he'll ruin a promising talent. He certainly wasn't the only one off the pace on Saturday but give the lad a chance.

If we start off with the usual can't be arsed approach coupled with failing to score during our few minutes of control, can't see anything other than a 1-0 defeat at best. My worry is that for whatever reason Colin will have them fired up and we've more than adequately shown.... we can't deal with fired up.

God knows. It’s a mess already. That Wesley is absolutely hopeless, but without Mmaee he’s going to play unless young Tezgel is fit?

The original rumour from the 'secret cirtle' was October for Vidigal so maybe they weren't too far off the mark.

Thompson never lets the side down when he plays and we seem to play better when he plays, got to be worth a start, the blend in midfield is just not right, not sure in a three what would work best, but I am not the manager and he has to suss it out sooner rather than later. Seriously? just don't see the same player you do. Opinion's eh.

Its ok saying drop Campbell, but for all his missed chances he's the only player who gets into positions to score a goal, with the current injuries.
No-one else got anywhere near apart from Gayle who just looks a total lost cause.
At least if Campbell gets his shooting boots on there is a bit of a chance.
Without him we probably go from 30% chance of scoring a goal to 5% imo.

'but at least he gets into the position to miss'. Sadly though he's still the best option. Wesley looks like a donkey and Gayle is both past it and clearly has some kind of mental issue which is making him snatch at chances that he would have buried in the past. Just get a feeling that things could have been different for him if those disallowed goals at the start of last season had counted. Instead he went months without scoring, looks like he's developed some kind of mental block where he's putting himself under too much pressure and we end up with stuff like that miss on Saturday.

Travers Junior McNally Rose. Wilmot. Booch Thomson pearson Laurent Burger. Johnson or Hakka Campbell 12 players will definitely help…… Even with 12 players , playing Campbell up front on his own will be a big ask , he needs people with him .

I think we have to try to find a way to win games with the players we have so maybe
Travers
Junior
Rose
Wilmot
Gooch
Leris
Burger
Pearson
Haksabanovic
Wesley Campbell
Or play the three CB's but need two central strikers with the current players available

Travers Junior Gooch Pearson Wilmot Burger Haks/Leri Bae Mmaee/Wes Campbell Vidigal/Haks Depending on whether Vidigal or Mmaee fit 235 “Depending on whether Vidigal or Mmaee fit”. After the length of their absence they won’t be match fit for 3/4 weeks or even longer “if they’re still not up to speed with full training Yeah there is that

Pearson has been a real disappointment for me but we don't have no one else to play that role.
I like the idea of 12 players to break this away goal famine though
Wes and Campbell for me also as not many options there also
Don't mind Wes if we actually feed balls into him but the bloke is totally isolated most of the time

How many times 😉 4 weeks form the injury ofr vidigal and a bit longer for Mmaee no idea on Stevens , so its jsut possible to see vidigal at some pint v hull but more likely Bristol

Why don’t we try something novel and play the formation this team is crying out for. 4-2-3-1. Travers Junior McNally Rose Gooch Pearson Burger Campbell Bae Haka Wes Because it's rendered ineffective if we can't get close enough to Wes. He just hasn't got the mobility. Until Mmaee is back, we need to play two up front. That's what the attacking mid is for, he can push on and support the lone striker.

Time to go Mad Nath, and deploy a diamond. With Mmaee out, Wesley will be starting but we can't leave him high and dry again like against Norwich. He needs support, so let's put Ty alongside him. Bae's drive from the tip of the diamond will also help him out. I'd have Burger at the base of the diamond as a supporting DM, so he can slot into LCB if we need to go 3-4-1-2. When we go three at the back, that will also be licence for Wilmot to dart forward.

He wasn't great but then I don't think he's a winger either. Unsurprisingly he wanted way too much time on the ball but hopefully he sorts that soon enough, same with Burger too.

Junior and Gooch to get forward Campbell and Wes as a pair, potentially changing their current ineffectiveness to something that actually works?

If Wesley plays he needs to GET STUCK In and kick some ass. If not like Gayle he is a waste of a player.
Stoke have been a soft touch for to long.

Travers Junior, McNally, Wilmot, Gooch Pearson, Burger Juhno/Johnson Campbell, Lowe, Haks/Leris
Scary really that we're at this stage already in defence and up front
Assumes none of the injured are fit. Lowe is a really left field choice to start and it may well be to early for him but he cant be worse than Wesley and Gayle. Doesn't really matter anyway, Neil won't play him from the start or at all.

If Wesley plays he needs to GET STUCK In and kick some ass. If not like Gayle he is a waste of a player. Stoke have been a soft touch for to long. Wesley can only play to his physical limitations. He can’t run and he can’t jump. Get too tight to him and he’ll pin you like a vice (see Watford goal) give yourself a yard or two and you’ll beat him in the air 99 times out of 100. He’s not going to bring it down and smash it in the top corner, he doesn’t even do shooting. There’s no one particularly close to him to lay it off to. We’re now getting to the point where it’s getting difficult to come up with scenario’s involving him that end with us having the ball in the back of the net.
