As back up, maybe, in a very basic championship contract. He is clearly not smacking away the offers is he.

He’s our best striker, just out of form. Great business if we keep him

If he signs it's because he's not getting any offers from elsewhere......

Needs a partner like when he played along side of Fletcher, when he was scoring for fun until that injury.

Happy if he stays tbh. I know he hasn't banged them in this season but I always feel he's a threat when he's on the pitch, something you can't say about a lot of players we have. Well yes but isn't the solution that we try and find better players rather than relying on someone who, for a long time now, has contributed very little?

I'm pleased if he's staying. Showed class before his injury and still young. I won't be devo if he goes but he would be good to keep.

Would be very happy if we kept him personally. He’s coming into his peak years now and there’s every chance if he stays injury free that he’ll kick on and become the player he should be. Realistically we aren’t signing anyone better as a free agent.

No but I’d be happy if he was consistently used wide as part of a front three, which is and always has been, his best position. Never once using him there has been one of Schumacher’s strange tactical decisions and I’m sure it has contributed to Campbell’s lack of output recently. Campbell and Manhoef either side of a proper centre forward with Bae in behind would be decent.

Think its telling its only a 2 year deal.
One we don't want to commit for longer and those legacy deals of sticking players on 5 years top whack are well and truly gone.
I think it says a lot about Campbell that even if there is an option of a 3rd, we haven't mandated it into the contract. Even on this side of the fence he's only worth a 2 year deal.

Not ecstatic at more of the same from Tyrese. I may feel better when I see who we sign to play as first choice centre forward as it’s definitely not him.

I can't help but think it would be best for both of he left, SS sees him as an out and out striker and with only playing one I don't think he'd be the right choice and he could do with a fresh start somewhere.

With his one goal this season he's our best striker.
There's other ones to get rid of first. Ennis, Wesley.

If we signed a striker with 1 goal in the previous season there might be some choice language and questions asked on here.
Is ok blaming formations and the cut of the grass but he's had a pretty dire season all round

I had a look back at this the other day and he really was in fine form pre-injury. Been rubbish to average since but then Alex Neil. He was in top form MON transformed him and he said himself how he worked with him on parts of his game Think he got 9 in less than 20 games and was flying. Now can take or leave him personally, whatever he does. I don’t think it was MON who worked with him. I think it was Mark Burton. I’d get him back (MB not MON) none/any of our players have developed as much as they did under him.

Great news for two reasons: 1. He’s potentially the solution to our need for a goal scorer. At his best he’s Premier League standard. 2. It suggests the future at Stoke looks bright and we’re now a club players want to stay with.

We're going to sign a striker who has scored 1 in 21 for the club this season and has scored 29 in 144 championship appearances. On what planet is that solving the need to get a goalscorer?

He's nowhere near good enough if we genuinely want to progress. We literally never learn do we. One good performance at home to Plymouth and he's worth a two year deal. Of course no one better than us have come in for him. Why would they? He's got a pretty dire Championship record.

Many of our players are improving under Schumacher, Campbell is showing signs of progress now too so it's only a matter of time before he starts banging them in if he stays fit. I hope he stays, he has more to offer and we all know he is a good finisher when he's sharp.

Prior to his injury he was sensational. His finishing was as good as anything post Fuller. If he can get back to full fitness and sharpness he’s better than anything we can afford. Judging from his performance Saturday it might be that Schumacher has begun to get the best out of him. It’s a gamble but unfortunately we’re in the situation where we need to gamble!
