He’ll get the Wednesday game - if we lose that then surely that’ll be it. But even if we win it’s just a matter of time, he’s not turning this around anytime soon. They probably will give him the Wednesday which is stupid as even if he wins it doesn't prove anything as they are the worst team in the league. They won't learn anything from a win in that game. Need to sack him now and get someone in before the Jan transfer window.

Anyone for the Neil/Mowbray swap?
Not a Mowbray fan at all, but I'd do it!

Looking back, finishing last season with 4 straight home defeats was a sackable offence in itself but it was never going to happen
No excuse now

I’ve cut him a lot of slack, I thought he inherited a shit squad last season and wasn’t surprised he couldn’t do much with it.
I know it’s difficult to pretty much rebuild a squad like he did in the summer so I wasn’t overly fussed about the underwhelming start to the season but he’s completely lost me now. He’s got no clue how to manage a game, even with 10 men against QPR we should not have ended up losing that game. To lose today after going ahead, playing so badly is unforgivable.
Get the fucker gone, I’d even take Warnock over him which says a lot!

I think that we are all out of excuses now, right?
The little five game unbeaten run was little more than a flash in the pan, much like that blip of good results last season. Now normal service is resumed.
I was not a fan of AN when he was appointed, but I accepted that he needed to be given time to try and turn this ship around. I think that the supporters have been remarkably patient bearing in mind his awful record.
The reality is that we have gone backwards since his appointment. I still have no idea what his preferred playing style or philosophy is, his tactical choices are baffling, and his game management is bewildering. He has been given free reign to build his own squad and make changes behind the scenes and yet we look no better for it.
I firmly believe that we have a squad that is far better than 20th if it is managed and coached correctly.
I do not like seeing managers lose their jobs, but anything other than a win next weekend and the owners seriously need to consider their options.

To coin a phrase, I've never seen 'what all the fuss is about' with Alex Neil. The fact we spent so much to get him out of Sunderland when he has been a pretty average Championship manager for most of his career.
For what it is worth the board wont sack him unless we fall into the bottom 3. They have invested too much in him in terms of the summer rebuild. He will point to injuries I'm sure but the table doesn't lie.

It'll give a new manager time to assess the squad before the transfer window. The run was just like march last season, a lucky run of coincidental luck. We are playing poorly, we're easily overrun on the wings every game, and he refuses to use fullbacks that can actually defend. He hasn't got a clue on how to inspire players, how to train them, how to get the "to gel" or how to win. He just tinkers and loses. I mean, what has Rose done wrong? Junior? He's lost me. Now fuck off AN. The sooner the better!

It’s going to come down to whether they trust him to manage after another transfer window or there’s someone more tactically better available.
May not be difficult but would be yet another massive appointment?

Just get rid of him tonight. If we scrape 4 points out the next 2, it just papers over the cracks. He’s been consistently average/poor since his appointment.
A bland man who produces an even worse football team.
Get him gone before he takes us down.

This looks like the point of no return, walks like the point of no return - and quacks like the point of no return.
So it probably is the point of no return.
Realistically, there's just no coming back from this, and any attempt to do so is doomed to fail.
It's just a question of time now, so they may as well make it swift

He has to go before the Sheffield Wednesday match.
It's a six pointer we have to win, to keep out of trouble and they have just beaten Blackburn and put 3 past them.
Hopefully super Johnny Eustace can come in.
But I would take anyone.

If John Boy doesn't pull the plug then Lord Dennis of Etruria simply has to get the Mamba out and 'go to town'.
It will be messy but we've got to that point sadly.
