Tracking a bloke's flight. This board has reached a new level of desperation. It reminds me a lot of the Loic Remy affair. Happier times. I was trying to think who the player was. I knew there'd been a thread where loads of people had been tracking a player's flight. Seem to remember it being a particularly amusing thread. We were younger then, I suppose. 🤩 |

Firstly standing in the Butler Street Paddock, watching Alan Hudson and Geoff Salmons combine their skills in midfield. Secondly was seeing the return of Stanley Mathews against Huddersfield in 1961. I've heard Campbell is particularlly excited about service he's now going to get.
Even now,he's celebrating by jumping around to his Englebert Humperdink records, whilst simultaneously performing a korean Martial Art in homage.............

I can just imagine it, though I take issue with the phrase a drink, a session more likely! Waddington's smooth talking, alcohol, Joules beer and the odd whisky, what's not to like. Different days, perhaps a bit more romance than the corporate realities of football today but then we often look to the past through rose tinted glasses. |
