Hopefully, the hand bags at the end will fire him up more. Needs a goal or two.

Hopefully, the hand bags at the end will fire him up more. Needs a goal or two. Don’t see that happening the more he plays the less of a goal threat he looks. If he gets 5 league goals all season I’d be amazed. I don’t even want to think how much we’re paying him.

As the in the box target man last night he had 5 headers that came in from the wings and he managed to head them all backwards out of the box. Might be the best defensive performace for an opposition team ive seen in years. What is the point???

Some of them were knocked in decent positions. I never expected goals from him so that doesn't really concern me but I was hoping he would prove to bring other players into being a goal threat more.

I was there yes. We consistently failed to put a decent cross in all game. The only decent ball that I can remember was Leris to Lowe for his header. The "crosses" to Wesley were mostly punts into the box that went sort of near him.

Totally agree.I dont expect goals but i did expect hold up play from such a big unit.

He's the love child of Dave Regis and John Gayle.

I'm normally one to wait a lot longer than others to judge but I am really struggling to get him. Can't see any positives to his game.

That bit of dribbling he did was funny as fuck. Touch went about 5 yards ahead of him. Gwarn Big Wes! 😂

Expected so much more from him but if I was being honest he’s useless.
He’s got to up there with one of the poorer forwards we’ve signed, who in their right mind paid 22 million for him.
Lowe is ten times the player he is at 18

Fucking hopeless for a big strong centre forward, would’ve been better off with Gayle on and that’s saying something.

The one thing I would say about Wes last night was he actually looked aggressive so maybe putting an 18 yr old in his place (Nathan Lowe, who by the way looks a better prospect than Liam Delap) gave Wes a kick up the ass?

For the umpteenth time.. he's absolute gash. A donkey. Plan F
I'd play Gayle on Saturday with Leris up front.
He cannot be any worse than Wes.
Quite like the look of Leris, think he's going to be ok.

The 1 year contract looks a great shout now. Based on performances to date, it's probably 9 months too long. His best performance to date was sorting out the Southampton players in the after match melee. Being a big bloke does have it's advantages, just wish he used it more effectively during the match, rather than after it. His heading ability considering his height is woeful. We need him (and several others) to come good and bloody quick.

A cross that’s not pinpoint isn’t a poor cross players in the box actually need to move to get on the end of them. Can’t say I’ve seen him attacking aerial ball into the box but that’s because he can’t run or jump.

Against Southampton every ball we put in their box he somehow managed to clear for them. It’s so annoying that we ended up with him given his past fews seasons of nothing.

There's nothing wrong with a gamble - but I don't really understand why we had to have a wild swing to fill this position given his recent history.
It's left us with no real strikers until Mmaee is back
