Things appear to be improving by the day. Another CB and maybe the lad from Colchester for full back cover.Then if Campbell does move on we go for one more attacker. Then we will really be cooking on GAS.👍 I cannot read any ones mind but I do not think any player will come to Stoke thinking he is coming as cover. If they sign they believe in their ability and they have one thing on their mind. They work with that intention. Gone are the days when Stoke will continually try to put the same eleven players out and devalue other squad members. Anyone can see that we have a squad in transition, and we are in the process of changing the guard. With the exception of the keeper every position is up for grabs! |

weather we sign him or not i have no idea but at least whoever signs him he as had a pre season and is ready to play,unlike Tueanzebe who needs to get fit but could not be arsed to do pre season, we should not entertain that guy

Deficiencies include in a position that he would be looking to play. I doubt he’d be that concerned about what he saw/it would make him think twice. |

I'd question both the player and Stoke if this goes down to the last day, if we really wanted him we'd have sorted it much sooner assuming his demands are realistic (which may well be the issue as was seemingly the case with Preston), and if his demands are above what we're willing to pay but he agrees to lower them and join us at the last minute I don't think that bodes well either.
If he's that dubious about signing the contract then there is no point in waiting a few more weeks, we should move on to other targets.

It might be that we think he will be useful as a squad player on a low wage, short term contract but are not convinced enough to worry about him going elsewhere. We don't want to clog up the squad with mediocre players who offer nothing different. Is he that different from Johnson or Laurent? I've never knowingly seen him play. Will he reduce the opportunity to give Sidibe more minutes? Obviously Laurent is considered as a first choice player or he wouldn't have been made captain. I don't think he's competition for Pearson so I just don't see where Onomah can be given playing time unless someone is unavailable which I guess is not what he wants. |

Surely Sidibe needs time and nurturing with the odd Cup appearance? I can't see that he comes into the equation really unless he really does prove to be a boy wonder, but even then he's not 17 yet. let's be realistic.

Agree but bringing in another advanced midfielder like Onomah would push Sidibe down the queue. He is in an ideal situation at the moment, coming on for Johnson for 15 minutes when appropriate. Neil obviously thought he could cope with starting the game v WBA, one of the better teams in the division albeit in a cup game, and with coming on when we were under the cosh v Ipswich so I think he is confident that Sidibe should be involved regularly. Bellingham was starting regularly at 16 at this level. |

We need two more midfielders and depending on whether we sign one and loan one, Sol will surely be one who we can hope grows and matures for next season and even then he'll be young. |

I do cut the club some slack on this one though because they are closer to it. Maybe they are playing him, or he's playing us. I think if he'd got a better offer he'd be gone, but he hasn't so far. |
