Ricky Martin should stick to singing in my opinion.
That interview he did at the end of the January window was one of the most embarrassing interviews I've ever watched. Sounded a proper prat!

I think given the past record since relegation the fans have every reason to be a little concerned, yes these changes may turn out to be a masterstroke, yet if we get them wrong, where does that leave us?. It leaves us in League One with Kenny Jackett, Simon Grayson, Nigel Adkins or if the owners are feeling really exotic ... Karl Robinson in the dugout and us being the most expensively assembled laughing stock in the third tier, with regular lessons being handed onto our arses by Fleetwood Town and Accrington Stanley. Still, don't worry about it - your bus trip will be free. Kenny Jackett eh... Like your style. Solid appointment.

Ricky Martin's LinkedIn page still has him as West Ham's Academy Director, showing the exceptional attention to detail we expect of our senior staff.
If the family believe he in him and he's going to be around for the long haul then fine, but it's very difficult to get away from the fact that it must be evens that the person who brought him to the club will be taking his P45 for a walk before Christmas.

May as well get the rumour mill started, Darren Wassall has ‘left’ the Derby County Academy. He is at least partially responsible for bringing through a lot of players who have been in Derby’s first team for the last 2/3 years. Coincidence?

Was told about this at the weekend and it’s a mass clear out apparently.Let’s just say Ricky Martin is clearing the decks of folk Neil doesn’t get on with or see eye to eye with Neil could pick a fight in an empty room. I really don't like him at all. I can't imagine anyone does.

You think the Coates gone would be a positive change for Stoke City? Aside from money and paying off their own accrued debts, what are they actually bringing to the party? So let’s get this straight you don’t like the u21s changes as you think it’s too much Change but you don’t mind the ownership changing which is the biggest change any club could have

I'm actually beyond caring now with regards to who comes in and who goes out of our club, both on the pitch and off it!
The clubs absolutely drained my 'Care' levels to a point where it is what it is now.
Of course I want to see us build and do well, but the days of getting worked up over signings/departures, results, & League positions, I'm pretty non fussed about it all these days.
We can't control anything & don't have very much of a say in things that happen anyway. I'm more than happy to let the powers that be and those who get paid for the responsibility of their jobs & roles to worry about the decision making and processes.
The famous & often used Peter Coates quote of 'I dont know what all the fuss is about' as we gently slid away to the Premier League relegation positions and into the Championship was all I needed to hear to realise that our concerns as fans mean absolutely nothing.
I may raise an opinion here and there, but realistically we may aswell all just sit back, strap yourself in & go with the flow.

You think the Coates gone would be a positive change for Stoke City? It might be? It would depend who the new owners were wouldn't it? In an ideal world the current owners would just learn their lesson and drag themselves into the 2020s, but that clearly isn't going to happen. Yes it might be, but it’s a massive if.

What is it about how our club has been run and 5 consecutive bottom half finishes that you are impressed by?

AN’s revolution continues. It is a good move when establishing the leader’s vision to renew staff but it is risky if it doesn’t work and piles pressure on the leader. It’s terrible. The academy is the only thing at this club that has been working for the last 5 years. This has Pulis written all over it, get rid of youth then replace with aging has beens that in truth aren’t very good, plodders in other words. AN will be out at Xmas if he doesn’t get this right

Now i know you don’t like neil which is fine because how he did last year was a joke. I really thought he was the right man and I still do although I have never liked him myself. I don’t listen much to what he says but knocking all that aside for him to be properly judged I think he needs to have his own players and this clean sweep will show us what he is made of. Now I could be totally proved wrong and that’s fine but I am willing to see how he does after this transfer window no excuses

People who are bothered about being liked more often than not cop out of doing anything that might make them less likeable. If anything the fact Neil isn't particularly likeable and isn't bothered is a positive.

I partially agree with your analysis that the transition from youth setup to first team appears to be not working, and that we haven't seen academy graduates playing with regularity or at all. However, the question is if that's a sign that the academy isn't working or that the managers that we've employed have been unwilling to blood youngsters with no or limited experience at our level thus depriving them of experience at our level...? There is definitely a better pathway at other clubs for young players, of that there’s no doubt. But how many youth players have we let go that have gone on to have good careers at this level? Brereton Diaz is the obvious one but apart from him I’m struggling to think of any. Ben Marshall went on to have a decent career

In an ideal world the current owners would just learn their lesson and drag themselves into the 2020s, but that clearly isn't going to happen. You mean like the owners of Leicester, wolves and wba who have run out of money and basically have pulled rhe plug on future investments in their club... wba are about to financially implode because of a loan disagreement between owner and club.

Whether or not the manager is likeable determines whether or not anyone would wish to sign up to play for him and whether those already stuck under his suffocating regime are motivated to die for the cause for him. It's perfectly possible to be respected and likeable. I'm afraid AN has zero sense of humour and zero humility. I might feel differently if he actually delievered some decent results but as well as, or more likely because of, pissing off many of the staff at the football club he has just presided over the very worst of 6 piss-poor finished since our fall from grace.

Of course unless you want the Coates gone? However it's achieved, the change people generally want to see at the top is an overhaul of the structure, strategy, resources, procedures of the club so that we have a modernised, club-wide vision and some continuity between transient coaching staff. I.e. the exact opposite of what is happening. The change people want is for us to start being competitive again. How that is achieved is superfluous. If we are in the top six come Christmas, nobody will give a flying fuck that Rooster has gone. Most fans don't care about structure, resources and vision, they just want to see a team they can be proud of.

This whole conversation has been about people wanting "a complete overhaul from top to bottom" (and consequently moaning about it, by your claim). Now nobody cares? What on earth are we discussing then? But to respond to your point I think a large number of fans do care about the way the club is run, and edging into the top six of this division in one season isn't going to come close to placating those concerns.
