Not sure any of the teams coming down look like certainties to go straight back up.
Leicester have got a load of players out of contract and their better players are almost certain to leave. They demonstrated this season that outside their starting 12 they are ropey and their financial position isn't great. Can't see Smith staying and they could easily do what we did - over estimate the strength of their squad, blow a wadge of money to get an instant return and then realise that it isn't going to happen.
Leeds seem to be still in an identity crisis following the sacking of Bielsa and never really looked like they had established themselves in the Premiership.
Southampton have been in decline for several seasons but actually might be the one's best prepared for a quick return because they look like they've know it was going to happen for some time.
At the very least the playoffs look up for grabs and the league will be as difficult to call as ever.

Think I heard today that Leeds were going get a takeover sorted if they stayed in the prem for around 420m? Takeover will still go ahead bit obviously for a lot less and they hope to get it sorted by June 14th when transfers for the championship can start

I am not particularly worried about Leeds and Leicester and co .
I am worried about the players and manager's attitude v the Rotherham/ Blackpool/ Wigan type of team.
It's become the norm for Stoke fans to be expected to tolerate lethargic going through the motions, no ambition to grab hold of the game and attempt to force it, against these kind of teams .
The patience of the stoke fans , watching repeatedly inept, can't be arsed performances from both the players and manager against these type of teams, must be within a fag papers width of breaking point.
If this issue is not addressed big time next season, then the bet 365 is going to get very toxic, very quickly.
If it's more of the same, I predict a spectacular 5000 fall in season ticket sales and Stoke becoming a lost cause.
None of us know the fixture list , but if we start off with a limp wristed , players and manager looking clueless / scared and rocking away end , against say, Rotherham, our season is going to be horrid .
We need more than a few good signings , we need a massive change in the way AN and the players, go about these games at the bet 365 , or we become in the eyes of everyone, a former big club, now small time , playing in a big empty stadium.

I think our focus should be more on the lower end of the league...

Depending who they keep Saints could be in good shape.
Ward Prowse will leave. Lavia you think would leave
Think some of it will depend on how some of there bright young things adapt to the championship.
Bree is a decent wing back, Bazunu should be a decent keeper at this level Armstrong ul front and Adam's should score goals.
However I thought Watford with Joao Pedro, Asprilla, Sarr would romp the league so who knows.

Hopefully Birmingham, Cardiff and Rotherham will be worse than us. Birmingham think they're new Ownership will bring them funds to spend & despite the press saying FFP issues will still be encircling them, they'll be able to unleash abit of spending power once the new owners take control. Its highly likely we'll be fishing in the same transfer pool as each other, especially if the interest in Dion Sanderson is anything to go by. Eustace is seen as the next best thing and remains in post despite being linked to other Championship jobs. They finished same points as us with a slightly worse goal difference, frightengly the same pts as Huddersfield finished on, & they were right in the mire as the season drew to a close before Colin took over. Blues are also looking into moving to a new stadium in the near future as St.Andrews is proving to much of a nightmare to repair the condemned sections of the stands they've had to close down. A stadium based on Derby's Pride Park is in their long term plans situated not to far along from its current home. Blues have been given false hope in the past but they appear to be building again behind the scenes & will likely push on leaving us behind if we're not careful. The teams getting promoted from League 1 seem to have stronger foundations than newly promoted teams usually have, Plymouth perhaps being more vulnerable with the step up than Ipswich or Sheff Weds will. Rotherham will hopefully be there or there abouts again & as you mention Cardiff seem to be hit a stagnant patch of just circling around the bottom portion of the league. For the first time I don't see a Wycombe/Peterborough/Blackpool/Wigan type team who you can usually pin on being a bottom 3 side come the end of the season. Even Rotherham are proving a touch above that level now. Hull have more of a stable footing aswell with wealth, this seasons going to be one tough slog fest & unless we up our game from last season, we may not be as fortunate to escape this time around.

Got to be honest ..with all the talk of more outgoing and pretty much no noise on incomings ..I’m worried about staying up next year !
I may be knicker wetting but it’s not looking good when you see the state of our squad!
