Just listened to him on Absolute Radio with the girls dad. The man is a legend and he’s genuinely humbled by her determination and bravery along with others who suffer this awful disease. Hats off to him

Brilliant from souness, and doing it for the right reasons (to generally help people, not to look good in the media) fair play and good luck 👏🏻

I feel sorry for the sea, no chance v Souness Even more daunting, he stared out Yosser Hughes. I remember a Souness interview from years ago where he discussed his cameo in Boys From the Blackstuff. He said he actually felt intimidated when Bernard Hill got into character as Yosser.

Well done Souness for trying to help the girl .
And well done to Souness again, for being a good example to us all, to not use age and health scares as an excuse to sit around, doing not a lot.
I am 58 now , not old and I am already finding it is so important , to just stay active, regardless of what activities you enjoy. Because being inactive is the biggest killer of all .

On a slightly separate note it’s absolutely disgusting how he’s been booted off sky sports on account of their woke agenda bollocks and we’re left with that absolute clown camel Carragher.

I wouldn’t say I always agreed with Souness, I sometimes felt he was talking utter bollocks, but he provided an opinion that would have represented a certain age and he at least had enough experience to back his opinion up albeit sometimes flawed. I agree with Sky Sports trying to employ people to represent different groups as they want as big an audience as possible, that’s the only reason Clinton Morrison gets a chair on Soccer Saturday after all, but in that case Souness was the representative of an older audience. He’s hardly nursing home material. Credit to him for what he’s doing also.

Clinton’s biggest input the other night after the League One play off was that Darren Moore had “the sickest trainers in the world”. That’s what we’re up against

Sometimes they are very successful in this, sometimes they are not. Companies follow the money.

I agree that is the case some of the time. Stuff Sky Sports do though definitely smacks of virtue signalling. Like pushing the women’s game to a degree that isn’t relative to the actual demand. Lots of articles on their app, the WSL being ahead of the championship on the results and tables tabs etc.

It’s not at the expense of the PL or EFL coverage… in fact there are more games televised now in the top 2 flights than there were before the woman’s game started to get elevated.

I just wish there was a separate tab for women's football on the Sky and BBC sites, the number of articles on the main pages do seem disproportionate to the levels of interest and it's to the detriment of the lower divisions of the EFL. Plus clicking on a story and it's actually about a woman's game can be slightly irritating.

The interest in women’s football is so small it surely won’t be long before it’s canned otherwise Sky will be showing stuff nobody’s watching. Cricket is a different matter. They’ve sold out the Ashes at Trent Bridge and is actually watchable. Ok they’re not as quick or agile as the men and their technique leaves a bit to be desired but my god they are competitive
