Cardiff at home 21/22 took a bit of getting over Vale turning us over at home on a number of occasions in the 90s/early 2000s. Why did they always seem more up for it than us? Any loss to Fail

Charlie Adam’s fluffed penalty against Brighton. One kick sent us down. It didn't though, it was a series of poor decisions and complacency by the board, questionable signings and bad form. You can't pin it down to just one shoddy penalty.

Was only watching on Sky that night but Andy Carroll’s last minute equaliser at West Ham in our relegation season was absolutely brutal - really felt like the moment where all hope of staying up was extinguished.

An off the field moment but sitting down for a coffee in a bar in Spain, picking up a copy of Marca (the biggest selling paper here) and reading a full page story titled 'BBC or BMX?'. Which is the best front three in the world Madrid's Benzema, Bale and Cristiano or Stoke´s Bojan, Marko and Xherdan? They came down (just) on the side of Madrid of course as Marca always does but it felt great for a moment. Strangely enough the follow up article a few years later comparing Clucas to Modric never went to print.

Had to cheer when we missed pen n for there 2 goals 😢 I'm not 100% sure Could have been someone else tbh! However like you just remember the kick in the stomach that penno miss felt like

Be about 1972 - my dad said do you fancy going to a football match - yes I replied wondering if it would be Old Trafford or the equally adjacent Anfield - I’ll show you where I used to stand when I used to go to Stoke was his response. It’s haunted me ever since.

Wasn't A'Court just a caretaker manager? I thought Rowett was a sensible appointment, didn't feel disastrous at the time (obviously it was)

Confusing him with Bill Asprey I think. Rowett was never ever a good fit after turning us down numerous times. I can't stand the prick. I get the same feeling with Neil but time will tell.

The employment of Mark Cartwright and the rationale behind the appointment The rationale behind the appointment was fine even if the personnel wasn’t. Mark Cartwright isn’t the reason for our downfall however much the cult of Tony would like to believe it. As far as haunting moments: The Bojan and Fuller injuries The Potter miss in the play offs The red cards coming out for Clarke and Kavanagh MVG hitting the post and the rationale was?

Said it before but that game against ManC when we both went down was just about the most all-round bereft, toxic atmosphere I've ever experienced at a game. That's a grim memory.

Happened to watch this the other day.. what in the name of fuck was O'Connor(?) doing when Hessenthaler hit the shot?? It's not even a back-turn, he literally just steps out of the way! Looks even worse on the replay..

It’s still the stuff of nightmares.

I don’t know if we’ve ever really got to the bottom of it, but if it was just Hughes it makes you wonder what the point was of MC.

Looks even worse on the replay.. Bloody hell, don’t think I’ve seen it again since the day. If he’d stood still I don’t think it would’ve got past him. We played really well that day and I just remember walking back feeling deflated. We didn’t batter them but we properly battled and took our chances expertly. The original Arnie was superb. I felt better the year before when we’d drawn with Walsall because Ben Pettys rugby tackle felt like a winning moment…

I think the credit goes to Hudson more than Asprey Harsh? Good point. Waddo brought back Stan to get us promotion. And then he brought Eastham back from South Africa twice - once to win the cup and then save us from relegation. Who gets the credit?

A good fair few that I was going to mention have already been posted so I'll add a different couple that really hurt at the time.
*Gavin Ward flapping at a cross ball & throwing it into the net to give Walsall hope in the game we had total control of in the play offs at The Bescot. Whilst their confidence grew, we became nervous & bottled it!
Remember as started to leave my mate I was with at the Time said 'I'm staying sat here, I'm going to be the last Stoke fan out and will be on telly'!! I left him to it!
* I know Arnie leaving has been mentioned but as a kid I was proper gutted when heard it announced on the radio that Peter Beagrie had left to go to Everton. Knowing aswell that my Peter Beagrie fan club membership expired that day aswell 😭!!
