The best capitalist’s in Britain.
Make money from gambling, pay their tax in full, follow the law. Employ 3,500 stokies on good money. Lift their local club up.
Gambling may be grubby but that’s what the city of London has done for 300 years. Few respect this city for making the most beautiful pottery in the world so well done in building the new world ms Coates.

All that money, so the family must have brains to be able to make so much money.
So why the hell can't they put those brain cells into employing someone who know how to run a successful football club?

Denise, John and Peter Coates and family – £8.8 billion
17. Anders Holch Povlsen £8.5 billion 18. Barnaby and Merlin Swire and family – £8.4 billion 19. John Fredriksen and family – £8.3 billion 20. Mikhail Fridman – £8.2 billion Coates family 2023 - £8795m (16th) 2022 - £8637m (17th) 2021 - £8448m (17th) 2020 - £7166m (16th) 2019 - £6856m (19th) 2018 - £5750m (21st) 2017 - £5000m (22nd) 2016 - £3765m (24th) 2015 - £2300m (44th) 2014 - £1200m (78th) 2013 - £925m (93rd) 2012 - £800m (92nd) 2011 - £750m (90th) 2010 - £500m (132nd) 2009 - £400m (128th) 2008 - £300m (270th) 2007 - £200m (351st) 2006 - £126m (442nd) Capitalism - bosses are thieving scum the lot of them. Profits, they only get rich by exploiting and underpaying workers in their respective companies. This type of theft is only considered legal under a capitalist system I wouldn’t go that far. To me, Carnegie best summed up capitalism as he was building the American steel industry: “captalism is about turning life’s luxuries into necessities”. For those struggling with gambling addiction, this seems like a perfectly apt description to me.

6.8 billion is almost meaningless these days when read as a figure. It's only when you write it in words can you understand the enormity of that wealth. The Coates family are worth six thousand eight hundred million quid. The mind boggles. Even if you won the lottery on your own today you would think you're on top of the world with a 'mere' seven million quid.
OS.

It will be very interesting to see if it's the same people in the top tax payers list - I very much doubt it will be which is where the real problem lies. We should be proud that our owners are very successful in business and pay their taxes accordingly unlike many others.

This type of theft is only considered legal under a capitalist system Well, they got rich because people are stupid and keep betting with them. Many people unfortunately become addicted, and online gambling increases the chances of addiction.

'Turning luxuries into necessities'(Carnegie) is a recipe for misery isn't ? The fewer things we feel we 'need' beyond friends, job satisfaction and good health the better surely?

The vast majority of benefits to the disadvantaged in this country comes from the successful capitalists. Where else would the money come from. Indirectly our most successful 5% capitalists fund our benefits system. Never quite understand why they are demonised
