How many times has Neil said exactly that this season though? "We have to move the ball forward quickly" is one of the things he always says which implies that for the last six games they have not been following his demands. It also probably shows how important Wilmot is to moving the ball forward. I am sorry but Taklor still doesn't convince me. He can carry the ball forward but then tries to block the ball past defenders and he dither on every pass he makes. I felt sorry for him at times because he was obviously looking for a pass and nothing was on. Unlike Wilmot he won't try a low percentage pass so yesterday he started trying to turn towards his own goal, a very dangerous manoeuvre, if a forward nicks it you are immediately wrong side. I said out loud after twenty minutes that we were going to lose because we had loads of space and loads of possession but hadn't created anything and we always lose those games 1 - 0. I felt it after ten minutes to be honest. Unless we get an early goal against these type of teams we just go deeper and deeper as the game progresses. I kept shouting at Tymon in front of us to just run with it like he used to but he kept passing back to Fox to put in a diagonal cross. QPR were loving it. I had hoped that the dread of going on a lap of appreciation around an empty or angry stadium might galvanise them but they weren't bothered. I'm glad Neil made them do it - about the best decision he made all afternoon. The ridiculous thing about Tymon for me was that after about 10 minutes their right back (who was shit and slow btw) was on a yellow card. At no point after that did Tymon (or anyone else for that matter) run at him to try and commit him into making a tackle of any sort to lure him into other fouls or pull out because he was frightened of a second booking. NOT ONCE. The ball should have gone to Tymon high up the pitch every time we had it. We are either brain dead or don’t give a shit. Or probably both. Yes, said the same at the match.

Fox & Connor did not want the ball but kept getting it due to lack of movement in front. Then Peason has stoppe£ going forward and now plays deeper and deeper going nowhere until he loses it or misplaced pass - Campbell can’t receive a ball and is only interested in balls in front in space just for him. I think the “team” if I can call it that, have been uninterested for the last few weeks once relegation was not an issue. Saving themselves for elsewhere or new contracts. Possession football is only ok in opponents half and with an end product - and that’s not back to Goalie.
Who is staying and who is going - we will soon know

Why would you start the last home game of the season with a defensive line up .
