I'm hoping for a pre-season in Scandinavia. Warm enough (20-25 celcius, not 50 like in Spain) in the summer, good facilities, and teams of most calibres up to CL/EL. Plus, the norwegian krone has never been worth less, so good value for money (except beer, that's always expensive).

Never say never , as these things often go in cycles … but Scandinavia was flavour of the month back in the 80’s ( including for us ) since then training camps have moved to Austria & Germany , due to their facilities and accessibility ..and for EFL clubs the Alicante region where there’s several facilities available ( the coast avoids the excessive heat of inner Spain ) One thought would be ‘if’ clubs gave the Spainish FA and economy a shot across the bows by voting with their feet and their money ,due to the racist row in Spain .. though as always I suspect there’ll be fine words but little action… pulling out of a European tie for instance is a huge ask ..pulling out of a pre season tour less so .. of course it’s not for football clubs to sort out the worlds ills alone ..where will many people tut tutting about Spain right now go for their holidays ..yep that’s right Spain |

I'm living between Elche and Alicante, with an Elche season ticket, so anything in the Valenciana/Murcia area would suit me very nicely! Above poster idle is right to point out that it could get seriously hot this year in July time though!

The local team to the costa blanca is Elche, who are rock bottom of la liga and soon to be relegated.

And to think there was such a good feeling around the club at that point. Chanting the Muniesa song for an hour non stop after the game was incredible. |
