Played well first half, poor second half, looked shattered & leggy to me....bit of a reality check. We need Tuanzebe back in and playing every week. Lost some discipline after the substitutions The players looked like they were unsure of what their role was after the subs.

Shows how well we have done recently to get the most out of our squad. No left back, a past it CB, no CF and a midfield good at playing on the break but no creativity and poor defensively - while his covering is excellent, defending one on one Pearson is average at best. At home, can’t play Laurent and Smallbone against teams who don’t come at us. A useful reminder of the work we needed this summer Yes Pearson was poor, zero pace and shown up a few times today. No wonder he can't cut it in the prem.

Disappointed by how ineffective subs have been. They've been alright for Brizzle

He’s best defensive midfielder I’ve seen in a long time, probably at fault for giving the ball away for their 2nd but average??? Laurent & Smallbone worked fine in previous five games together didn’t they? Know you upset as are we all but come on! Todays problem was we simply didn’t compete after first twenty minutes, and that was all over the pitch so to single out the ones you have is unjustified IMO.

Thought we would struggle against Bristol and Brum Monday....... Bristol sat in first half and did ok ..... our players thought they ONLY had to turn up and get the win

We played with a swagger and confidence a team on a 25 match run should have, not one that has gone 5 unbeaten. First 20 minutes we were very good but wasteful with the final ball (particularly Laurent), as soon as King came on the momentum swung. We looked like a team who’ve started to believe they’re own hype……. Absolutely the point the game changed, they barely entered our half until the forced sub. Even though we scored after that point they grew into the game at that point🤷♂️ don’t really know what changed on pitch re tactics or whatever but in my mind that was the turning point.

Baffling second half collapse and a very strange, slow reaction by the manager to what was a very simple tactical change from Bristol.
A worrying trend that this group can't play at home. Gutless in some respects.

Really shows the lack of quality we have in subs or players who can change a game. We need double figures worth of players in the summer let alone half a dozen.

Can't be too hard on Alex and team, but that was a dismal second 1/2. Nothing really went right did it and looked straight outta a November performance. We're nearing the edge of woods, but we're not out of them just yet.

Gutless in some respects. The bench today proved pretty much how limited we are at having a plan B. Brown is awful and Powell you’d have no idea he was on the pitch and for me their second goal was purely down to Bonhams piss poor positioning

Gutless in some respects. What was the change? I didn’t really notice, but they completely dominated second half. Pushed their left back infield when on the ball and their entire side 10 yards further forward, compressing the space between our forward line and midfield. It basically took Powell right out of the game. We reacted far too slowly by keeping him on the pitch for as long as we did.

Gutless in some respects. Touch of arrogance for me, the players believing the hype that surrounds them at the moment. We started really well especially down the left hand side but Laurent seemed to want to play the Hollywood pass/touch at the wrong time. Brown for all his faults was far more direct and put 3 really good crosses in which Powell was nowhere near. The moment King came on they got a foothold and we were very slow to react, in reality we were lucky to go in one up. Second half the players didn’t seem to want to put in the hard yards, whether that was a bit of fatigue or just an unwillingness to react to them seeing far more of the ball I have no idea. But we totally ran out of steam and out of ideas……

Another one of those crap clubs we never beat at home. See also Preston Yet we have a pretty good record at theirs, as we do at Preston, very strange Blackburn aside (and we nearly threw that one away), our recent high scoring wins have been away. It needs sorting out

We should be all over da Silva from Bristol City or Manning from Swansea, both out of contract and either would be perfect……

Smallbone has looked leggy today. His passes have often been under hit. Perhaps it’s time for Baker? It was poor game by Smallbones standards. Baker was worse when he came on. His head has clearly gone and we need to get rid in the summer.

A lot of out supposed top players have struggled today. Sterling leggy Laurent. Leggy Smallbone Leggy Pearson leggy Only possibly Campbell on it Wilmot such good things and bad. Shows how paper thin our squad is. Any of these midedielders have a bad game and we are bringing in league one (at best!) quality replacements.

I would definitely sign him but there is a reason he is on loan to us. He is excellent at reading the game and filling in spaces and calm on the ball but not hugely creative. Where is weak is defending and tackling one on one. Last week he missed three tackles in a row second half and today he gave the ball away and then dived in and lost his man. For a DM he is a relatively poor defender. And to play along alongside him at home, we need a 10 and 8 not two 8s.

Odd person to pick out. We’ve been successful in the last 5 because our central midfield was better than anyone else’s. Smallbone started poor but we still won everything. This half, we’ve lost ever 50-50 and have paid for it. We can blame the defence, but the midfield lost us this game in my opinion. We need like-for-like replacements for players like Laurent and Smallbone in the Summer. Do you mean Pearson? I'd keep Laurent. Sorry, I mean for when they need substituting. That was not clear. Ideally, we keep this midfield next year but also bring in players that operate like them so that they can be taken off when exhausted without destroying our approach.

Deflating performance. Even at 1-0 in the first half I felt the tempo and the aggression in which we have been playing the high press just wasn’t there today. Bristol stopped us playing the way we have been and you have to give some credit to them. Frustrating, but it’s important we all don’t over react, we have just come off the back of five top class performances. This was massively disappointing but it’s all about next season now.

Not sure we looked leggy, but we didn’t close down / press like we can was that tactical or because of energy levels?

There was an absence of the mutually supportive body language of the Coventry match. No 'cheering the idea' at a misplaced pass for example. The substitutions made little sense to me. Was Hoever hurt? If not why, as I'm confident that he would have made things much more difficult for the 2nd goal. I got nervous as soon as Baker came on. He's OK, has a reasonable shot but otherwise is and was too negative. I still think Neil is doing a high level job though. Today should be a wakeup call.
