It is appalling from the owner but yet again it just goes to show that the people who are supposed to do 'fit and proper' work or ensure the safeguarding of these clubs do absolutely nothing and just stand idly by. As put in the statement Bury was an omen of what can and is happening all over the EFL but they're just doing nothing about it. Reading isn't the most impressive or historic club by any means, but their fans don't deserve to have to sit there while people with no connection or affection for it destroy it in front of their eyes. Selling the training ground leaves them with virtually no assets and makes selling them almost impossible as the owners will still want a sizeable fee despite this and means they'll just keep draining it dry. We might be shit but we won't have to worry about shit like this for a while at least.

Is it really the Wycombe chairman's fault? He could be thinking that giving them £20 Million is better than giving them nothing, although I fully expect that £20 Million will never be seen and only used to cover whatever other horrific costs they have managed to accumulate.
It's all absolutely horrendous whatever the case. How have they let someone in with a history of doing this to other sports clubs across the globe? Why have they chosen to wreck Reading, and how do Reading as a club get out of this now? They aren't an attractive proposition - even more so since selling the training ground (I have a feeling that won't go through and think Wycombe will pull the plug), they are riddled with debt and the owner can't/won't sell. Even if they do sell, who will it be to and just what are they buying - a club that's basically fucked?

For those who want the Coates family out of Stoke, this is what most clubs with foreign owners end up going through, asset stripped for greed

Shocking from Wycombe.......... Yeah the statement attacing Wycombe just seems silly. Of course they jumped at the chance of getting a £50 million pound facility, which will have appreciated in value, for only £20 million. Can't see why they would ever tunr that down, which ever group released that statement needs to focus on Reading alone in this.

Reading John Grisham's new book, The Exchange. Excellent reading and sequel to his very first book The Firm.

I thought it may be a strange one this, Readings training facility is south of Reading, that road from Wycombe down to Maidenhead ad the M4 can be very slow at times, and then to go along the M4 as well past Bracknell and Reading is a pig during rush hour, just buy some land near to Wycombe.

Apparently in the planning for the training site only Reading FC could use the facilities.
