Stokeylad - fair point but surely that speaks volumes about how shite colleges are around Stoke on Trent? I know what ya mean about sitting in the social though. Hate sitting at home doing jack shit

ye i hate the massive breaks inbetween lessons, but when it was sunny, it was nice sitting outside for a while. i suppose it does say a lot about the colleges being so shit, but it might be because stoke has a poor education system

Exactly I went Thistley Hough and didn't do anywhere near as good as what I could've done because the teaching and school in general was so shite. They're bloody crucial years I reckon because if you get drilled into your head for 5 years that working hard and striving to be a success then you're in the right mindset for college and university.. if that's the path you want to take of course

You've gotta play your cards right when it comes to breaks lads. In the first year i always had either 40 minutes break all day, or a mind numbing 3 hour free with Jack Schitt for company.
Then comes the second year when most people have more frees, and you'll find you have entire afternoons or mornings off. So its in late, quick lesson, chat to your choice of mates for as long as ya want and bish bash bosh, off home ;D

I always have company during any break I have because I'm one of those popular cool kids Only kidding.. but there's always someone about for me

Santy - I know the story about Terry. Did something on Athletics didn't he? Because he used to be a sprinter.. or something like that He didnt used to be a sprinter as far as I know, but he did keep himself in shape and still does which is why he likes to flex as he points to the board in class, but he had to race rosie & jim and lost. It was good to wind him up about it lol

Yep. I remember something about he managed to get in the GB Olympic trials when he was at his peak which is bloody good going I think for an ICT/Computing teacher He does flex a fair bit as well ;D

Yea, seems a bit strange he ended up as a computing teacher, especially considering mark & the others lol, ever have any joy finding out which teacher whos still there (or was last year) was giving a student one a few years back? He was close to telling my class last year but he never did lol

I know the story to that! He was one of my teachers in the first year then left suddenly. I didnt find out till the next year and my new teacher just blurted out that he had been knobbing a student and that they'd left together to live in Manchester!

Post by trend....... on Jun 26, 2008 23:12:36 GMT
mine are to but still get fuck all. even if my mum and her husband earn over the amount that stops you getting EMA, its not like they give me 30 quid a week is it! proper unfair

Post by SuperRickyFuller on Jun 26, 2008 23:40:41 GMT
The EMA system does have a few problems with it I reckon. It's like getting a discounted buspass, it doesn't take into account the fact that different families have different situations Fair enough.. there could be the odd bastard who takes the piss out of the system but who doesn't these days?
|
|
|
Post by Deleted on Jun 27, 2008 7:01:21 GMT
Yeah the system is slightly unfair, but in their eyes it's meant for bus and books and crap, they assume that anybody earning ovr the wage cann afford give their child bus money and pay or everything.
My EMA goes on relentless, fags, last season on match tickets and the bookies.
Not exactly what they planned eh? ;D
