The problem with Tezgel is his contract situation. You can't really loan a young player out in the last year of his contract.. I think it's getting increasingly unlikely he'll still be here next season. Nice to see Lowe doing well, though 👍🏻 All boils down to whether he and his parents believe in the pathway we have for him, or whether they decide to take their chances elsewhere. For me it will either be a new 3 or 4 year deal announced and straight out on loan to a League One/Scottish Premier League team for the rest of the season, or if nothing happens in January he's as good as gone which would be a real shame..... Well if Stoke think he’s got the potential then he needs to be on a new contract He’s been offered a new contract apparently Be interesting to see if he signs it, or if not where he ends up.

Given the clear benefit that Lowe is getting being on loan, do we loan out Tezgel in January? Yes we need a reliable back up striker but assuming we do, surely it is better for Emre to get regular minutes rather than the crap of “minutes off the bench”? I think the best thing to do is loan Emre out in January for rhe rest of the season but have a24 hour recall option on both just to be safe We can’t just make up rules to suit us! Apart from keepers loanees can only be recalled during transfer windows.

Tezgel has a difficult decision to make. He is not getting the opportunity at Stoke. If other posters are to be believed he was reluctant to sign the 1st deal at Stoke. He was persuaded by his family. If that is the case why would he sign a new deal given that his career has not progressed too much? Having said that. When he has played his contributions have not been exceptional. This will have been noted by other clubs following his progress. So, there is no guarantee that bigger clubs will invest in his potential. If they did he is not going to get game time other than being loaned out. Not sure he has any obvious options that are better than Stoke but I don't know him so no idea what his expectations and motivations are.

He's obviously too good for the U21s etc, but not quite firing when given games for the first team, as you say (apart from v lower league teams). I would expect him to have signed by early next year or he's probably off somewhere...which would be a pity and a financial loss too I guess.

when players are sent out on 12 month loans i think the club sending should honour the deal we could be in the same situation with Cannon,a 12 month deal should mean 12 months,

This is great news. When was the last time a Stoke youngster won such an award?

Who did people think was further along in terms of development at the start of the season? Tezgel or Lowe? Where do people place them now?

Who did people think was further along in terms of development at the start of the season? Tezgel or Lowe? Where do people place them now? You can’t compare because Lowe is out on loan and Tezgel for whatever reason isn’t getting game time either at Stoke or somewhere else. The perfect scenario for us is that Lowe can emerge as (in time) an integral part of success at the Brit. If he has found his level to become successful its great for him and reflects well on us. It’s a win win situation for both parties. Hopefully the Tezegel situation will be similar or even better. Patience being important.

Tezgel is out of contract in the summer isn’t he? You’d think we would be trying to get him tied down and then sent out on loan in January as he’s not getting a lot of game time

Given Tezgel had been out on loan at l2 mk dons previous season (3G 3A in 5 starts (15 games)
