Blackpool hadn’t won a league game in 14 attempts, prior to the Stoke game. It’s no good dominating a game if you don’t score. It’s no good picking a midfield that gets blown away by any breeze greater than 2 mph. It’s criminal to be paying a 34 year old 20k a week, when in the previous two seasons he’d managed to make 7 appearances. It’s beyond comprehension that people who spend their entire working life practicing basic footballing skills clearly haven’t mastered the art of 1) trapping a ball, 2) passing a ball to a team mate, 3) don’t have any heart when things get difficult. The abuse of some players is over the top, but I find it absolutely laughable that anyone can defend the shambles that is Stoke’s management, the 11 who were on the pitch for the majority of the game and then start blaming supporters who again turned up in their numbers and who only need to see some sort of commitment from the weak willed,, Lilly livered, overpaid charlatans that masquerade as professional footballers, to get behind them. Thats a fair summary of the shit housery that is going on at the moment

A decade ago I would have been ashamed and angry - now I’m totally apathetic and resigned - at least I got to enjoy the golden decade in the promised land……which I had never thought I would ever live to see the day …….maybe our expectation is warped…..

The players have shown that they are good enough.. that’s what causes the anger. They just can’t be arsed most of the time. We’ve been the most inconsistent side in this division for a few years, Obviously it will cause frustration

You still defend the useless owners. The ultimate issue. Just wake up. I'm far from enthused about the way the club is being run, but what alternative do you see shouldn't he family sell up. In your opinion what does scfc look like post Coates? What sort of ownership do you realistically think will buy the club? Who knows?

Just checking that anyone on here saying you shouldn’t shout abuse hasn’t abused opposition players, staff or the refereeing Team vitriolically

People clapped the relegation side off. Happy clapping and putting up with this shit is the only issue with the fanbase. I will never, ever forget sitting there after our relegation was confirmed and people around me were clapping the team off. It was utterly bizarre. I walked off giving them the v’s shouting abuse at them. It seemed the sensible thing to do.

At 1.35pm today me and the wife carried my lad to the car at Liverpool's academy. He couldn't move with stomach cramps and was in severe pain. Shortly before, I watched him have the balls to take and score a last minute penalty to rescue a deserved draw against Man United, this after he hadn't played as well as he can through over-trying and putting the team first. As you should.
We got home just in time to watch the match. I carried him in, basically dropped him on his bed as he had dropped asleep. I then managed to get a stream and watch players turn their backs on shots and three players to um and arr over who takes a free kick in injury time at 0-1.
Ashamed and angry? Told right. And it's why our ground wasn't half full on Wednesday night. It's not they didn't try, but do they try enough?
In a cost of living crisis, and after six years of utter shite, the 3700 who went have every right to be pissed off. Our support is the very least of our problems. Unless it becomes apathetic, as I am. I'm at an age where if they're not massively arsed then neither am I.
You wear our shirt, you crawl off the pitch.

If the Coates family leaves then their controlling interest in the club will have to be bought Anyone with the kind of money to take over from them will be extremely wealthy. What makes you think those kind of people couldn't afford to finance a push to the Premier League?

Fans have every right to be ashamed and angry after that pile of garbage today. It’s no wonder they got shit at full time when they miss golden opportunities like they do, where you’d back yourself to score them with a blindfold on. No subs until 70 minutes, bringing Lowe on during injury time, it’s all just very predictable.

I went today, thought they tried dominated the game but no quality in the final third, despite that Gayle an d Smallbone did miss sitters. I didn't get the abuse at the end myself, feel pissed off but more at Neil for not chancing Lowe earlier and the gross mismanagement of the club in general over the past 6 years, this squad is a fair bit worse than last season and this is their level, bottom third of the league, hopefully Pearson and Powell can get a run to add some quality if they keep getting injured staying up will go to the wire.

I am almost certain that they wouldn't have the same financial clout as the Coates family. Or willingness to pour money in hand over fist. Well the owners of Brighton and Brentford don't need the money the Coates Family have do they? What they have is a knowledge of how to run progressive football clubs in the modern era- and not clubs blessed with a huge top flight pedigree either. That trumps free coach travel to Fleetwood

Half Term this week and my long suffering wife and kids agreed to go on a City Break with me. We splashed out and stayed at the Holiday Inn Stoke on Trent in order to take in the Huddersfield game. It’s a long way from Plumpton, so it was a special occasion for us. Was back home watching today, to witness that “performance “Will be driving up and back for the Brighton game before getting back at stupid 0 clock and kicking the boys up to go to school. My choice, my family’s sacrifice and support. No medals need to be awarded, but it would be nice to think that the players/staff shared a similar passion and appeared to care.I understand why people might respond with vitriol, but can’t bring myself to do it, as Those in possession of the shirt still hold a “status” for the likes of me. I get it’s unconditional, but at the moment my unquestionable loyalty feels very, very strained

Agree with all of that and have no problem with fans choosing to boo them off Dozens of fans calling player fucking cunts, fucking wankers to their face is ridiculous Why? They are that. I’m not really sure how to word a reply. However I’ll do my best without lowering myself to your indefensible comments that it’s alright to call individuals certain words of which I won’t repeat. Taking a step back and endeavouring to be constructive in criticism. I don’t believe the majority of footballers step out on the pitch not having the best intentions to perform well and be part of a successful winning team. Individual performances can be adversely affected by a number of issues that supporters wouldn’t know about i.e injuries, etc. IMHO our current problems exist (1) with the quality of individual players to perform to the required standards. This may be due to age, experience etc. (2) We have a manger now that has had circa 26 league games to develop a match day 11 that is organised, difficult to beat and can compete consistently…… has he? (3) We now have 14 league games before we end the season. Why have we signed players who won’t contribute to their own individual standard quality due to existing/match fitness issues? , Easy to call out individual players using abusive language. Easy to support those that do names after all it’s about opinions. Verlinden and a Guinness book of records for posts on a social media site not enough?

No not re the lack of quality in the final third, I'm ashamed and angry at a sizeable section of our fans who found it acceptable to scream abuse at the players at the end No problem with having an opinion re players not playing well or whatever or even booing (didn't think that was warranted mind) but to dish out the full on abuse to a side that has dominated and worked their socks off was disgusting. Josh Laurent in particular was getting both barrels which was ludicrous If I was a player I'd want to leave Good, fuck 'em off. Wouldn't miss a single one of them.

They’re gutless mercenaries. I’ve got no sympathy for any of them, people are right to be infuriated with where the club finds itself and with the shithouses who represent it. If you are not happy then go. No matter how poor we are I would never speak about my team the way you do. In fact anybody speakng about the team in that way are not true supporters. What utter rot. Mindless happy clapping is not support

Abuse of players is never acceptable and will be counter productive anyway. We all shout things in the heat of the moment but at the end of the game ,I can't see what it's going to achieve. I don't think there's a lack of effort with this group ,they just aren't very good at what they are meant to be doing and a lot go into their shell when things go against us. Poor players generally make poor decisions and throw in the manager who is also making some questionable decisions and the owner(s) who have made some dreadful decisions since 2017 its hardly surprising we are where we are. Correct…the bottom line is most of our players ain’t very good…they are League One players at best. I didn’t go today as I took my daughter back to dance college in London. Glad I didn’t go now because I would be really pissed off losing to Blackpool and about £150 lighter in my wallet.

It will be interesting to see ( even though they never tell us) lol how many season tickets they sell. I’m on the fence at the moment as I’m at a time in my life where I now have time and money (as I’m mortgage free) to do other things with my family.
