Wonderful player. Without doubt the best I've seen, & I'm 86. Showed his skill at a time when the pitches were a lot worse than now, & against some uncompromising defenders. Always played with a smile. I shall never forget him.

I was at that game, and I got his autograph, along with 7 or 8 of the rest of the Santos team. Managed to lose my autograph book somehow. He was also excellent in "Mike Basset, England Manager". |
