The reasons for the car parks is if Hanley wants to get things like the arena etc they have to be in place before it gets planning permission
This city will never move on whilst it’s locals mock and slaughter it

Reading that article it says the indoor arena would have a capacity of 3,600. Surely we need to be aiming higher than that? I'm not talking about some 10,000+ thing as we're not a big enough city for that, but looking at a list of other indoor arenas in the country Derby & Milton Keynes both have 5,000 Bolton has 6,000 & Exeter has 7,500. Surely we should be looking at something around those sizes?

I guess the question is, why another car park when at 2pm on a Saturday most are 1/2 full/empty. My take is that Hanley doesn't need another car park, it needs better transport solutions.

It's gallows humour and if we're being realistic we must have one of the worst city centres in mainland Britain (forget Manchester or Liverpool too, a provincial city like Nottingham is streets ahead of us). If it wasn't for the theatres and shopping centre Hanley would be on a par with Longton.

Speaking as a homeless down and out Monkey Dust user, if we're talking about levelling up, can I make a plea for more street benches and public toilets up Hanley.
