You have to question if there is something going on behind the scenes with him. Very easy to just point fingers and say things about him. Yes, he's come back carrying weight and looks quite unprofessional with it.
You just wonder if there is anything else that's being carried.
Wish him well but I think a move now suits all parties.

He comes across well in the Huddersfield interview. Quite likeable really. I hope he does well, always struck me as competent in the Champ. Clearly something not right between him and the powers at Stoke.
Hope he has a fantastic season and comes back better or generates a transfer fee!

Yep. Def came on as a sub in the Leicester away Butland howler game. Think that was his debut Still not got over that game, looking like we’re on our way to 3 vital away points which would have taken us out of the bottom 3 and Butland goes and chucks a cross into his own net. Think that was probably when I genuinely thought we were going down.

No need for people to be arseholes about it Local lad, had lots of promise, lost his way Good luck Tom. Quite sad really, we’d give our right arm to put that shirt on and here we have a local lad who fulfills his dream and ends up making a mess of it because IMO he lost his way off the pitch. Just shows how strong you have to be mentally as a pro footballer. Hope he makes a go of it at Huddersfield.

Takes him to the end of his deal, doesn't it? So that's his time here done Why is it a loan then? I don't want him back!

I'm not sure you can say he's had a fallout with management/coaches when he's been here under four different sets of them. He's even been here through most of the squad changing, at least twice. And isn't he out of contract when this loan expires? I hope he does well too but think the issue is his own.

There isn't any transfer fee amortisation, or compensation going on a free because of his age to consider so think it's safe to say it's because we are paying part of his wages.

My feeling about that if true! I really think Huddersfield should be able to pay his wages as long he is a free transfer, but I guess we were desperate to get him off our books! At least I'm glad we don't have to watch him being skinned every game any longer!

He probably unknowingly and unwillingly deceived a number of Stoke managers in that respect to his own detriment, if they are/were as prejudiced as you.

Huddersfield fans seem impressed with him, particularly his long throw:
"Edwards looking decent" "I thought that too. Only a friendly but looks a lot better than we've been led to believe by Stoke fans." "Edwards has a very long throw"

Good luck to him, local lad which we all wanted to do well, looked promising in his early years at Stoke but he just hasn't achieved his potential, I wonder how much of his £24k a week Huddersfield are paying. His contract ends next summer so he really need to knuckle down and make an impression. Gouranga.

Also, I'm not sure where you got the £24k from? Isn't he on about £7k a week?

If so £24k pw isn’t so outrageous (although it is in reality). If he signed it following relegation then it will be nowhere near £24 k.

October 2019, so he would have been 20 years old in the championship.
