Quiet as can be on here. Time does the window close? My guess is that we will wait for Leicester to announce Souttar, then we will see a flurry of activity, if the Souttar deal falls through we cannot afford Cook and whoever else. We must have things lined up though, still intriguing to know that nobody is really sure other than a few speculative names being banded about |

I think as has happened before that we will announce Souttar leaving and then announce a couple of signings straight after to soften the blow.

JCH on his way to pastures new? Christ I hope not. Not the best at hold up play, but decent in the air. Signing in-form players is a far better idea than players “with a point to prove”, ie players that have failed elsewhere and are coming here with no confidence. |

It’s one thing to speculate on a fee, where you can at least say, oh they are lowballing us/can’t come to an agreement but we’ve just lost two defenders (injury + Flint) and need another. It’s another to say…we have 15 million to spend, we can now afford any fee you want for a short-term stop gap; here’s our credit card, go wild. |
