It wasn’t malicious Bayern and it done with good intentions and was followed immaculately Sometimes people just want to see an issue with things I have to agree with Bayern, it's bloody frustrating that people can't follow a simple instruction. "There will be a minutes silence on the referees whistle, after the last post." But the announcer didn't say "There will be a minutes silence on the referees whistle, after the last post" he said "There will be a moment of reflection" which caused the confusion I think.

Just sums up a fairly large proportion of our fanbase imho. What was difficult to understand? Sam Matterface did exactly the same on the ITV4 Ipswich game on Monday night. Guess he's a Stoke fan? No but he's a fucking ****, always has been. Wow, since when has there been censorship on this board?!

Can't get too upbeat re playing Luton at the best of times, never mind in this crappy league on a horrible, horrible night and after the last few games as well.
Can understand some giving it a miss and those being there not exactly making a lot of noise.

Wow, since when has there been censorship on this board?! You're calling a 'fairly large proportion' of the fans thick because a few people made a simple mistake. A mistake that has been replicated by broadcasters and Luton fans.

When that broadcaster is Sam Matterface & the other fans you mention are Luton, I think my point remains pretty valid

Well for the first time for ages as ST holder (x3) we did not turn up tonight on a cold and wet night at the 365. Unsurprisingly we got a result and equally unsurprising as I expected someone comes on here and moans about poor support. Try being a bit positive when we have eventually got a result instead of trying to achieve key board points , whilst contributing nothing constructive. Talking to a lad at work today and 4 of them were on route to the match then decided to turn around, went the off license and watched the match at one of their houses. It was a really poor game but good 3 points, I really think people have had enough of the shit on display.

That’s utter bollocks I’m sorry. It’s tickets sold not attendees it’s as plain as the nose on your face. There was no more than 14,000 fans physically in the ground tonight….. Rubbish The ground looked half empty on the TV and 14k seems about right to me.

Was horrible last night. I planned on posting myself but expected to be knocked back with the typical shitbin / discussed before etc.
The atmosphere was horrible last night. No singing. No noise whatsoever really. 2-0 at home and finally a ref who gave us the rub of the green, but it just didn't seem to happen. It feels like the crowd atmosphere has just gone. We're a long way from being the loudest. Miles off.

We definitely used to count tickets sold hence your examples We changed to people actually attending I. E. Tickets scanned In Block 30 where I sit last night the 10/12 seats in front were empty bar my mate and his son, the 10/12 seats behind that are usually fully occupied were completely empty. On our row there is usually 8 of us there was 3. There is no way on Gods green earth 18,000 were in that stadium last night, if they’re counting scanned tickets only they’re doing it wrong…. We definitely used to announce the attendance as tickets sold, but in recent years with us having digitally scanned tickets making it easy to count the actual attendance then we've been doing that. This myth tends to come from the fact that people forget to take into account that we added 3,000 extra seats in 2017. So they look at our half empty ground and say 'no way is there X number of people in here' because they're comparing how the ground looks now with how it used to look in our old Championship days in the 2000s. So yes, yesterday's crowd looked very similar to how the ground used to look with a 14,000/15,000 crowd in the old ground configuration in the 2000s. But when you factor in that there are now 3,000 more empty seats than there used to be, 18,000 suddenly makes sense. 15,000 + 3,000 = 18,000, meaning that an 18,000 crowd has the same visual appearance as a 15,000 crowd used to have in the old 27,500 capacity. 18,000 leaves the same number of empty seats as 15,000 used to do, basically. It's also the reason why 23,000 attendances used to look pretty full before the corner was filled, but now there's still a lot of visible empty seats.

More home defeats than wins, over the last 5 years, will do that to a crowd.

I'm like you there is no way on earth the the ground was 60% full..........

It was a Winter's evening dark, damp, depressing. Some folk would rather just shut the curtains and try to pretend it's not out there. I detest night matches in winter. I went can't say I enjoyed it much despite it being a good and needed win. I really don't understand the football calender, it certainly isn't designed around fans. If they have to play night games why don't they concentrate them at the beginning and end of the season when the weather is normally decent?

Manchester United doing what’s always happed Silence first THEN the bugle playing last post Mate if you look on the RBL website the protocol is the Exhortation followed by The Last Post followed by 2 minutes silence followed by the Reveille. Which is how we did it (minus The Reveille). However, it is a much more sensible and practical way to do it with The Last Post to end the silence. No room for confusion.
