I have very basic views and in actual fact have come to hate this left right bullshit. I have what I call conservative values in that I believe in minimal state intervention and small govt staying out of our business as much as possible. I also believe in personal responsibility and striving to be a productive member of society. That said I have what some may call a sense of justice for the vulnerable and the need for decent state provision to ensure everyone can live a dignified life. But the harder you're prepared to contribute the more you should be rewarded. None of this equity over equality bollox. This current crop of conservatives are wolves in sheep's clothing simply looking for what's in it for them and their mates. Ain't been a Conservative in that party since Ken Clarke and Rory Stewart if yoos ask me. Just my opinion mind. |
