People who Tommy Robinson and Suella Braverman are only too willing to provoke for their own ends. Shame on them for doing so. You can only feel sorry for those who get taken in by it, unpleasant characters though many of them undoubtedly are, they're just being used. |

Have to say I'm personally appalled by the fact that Sheffield wednesday have became such a hateful club in recent years. This is what they all do at their games. Every single one of them.  For the sake of balance have you got any videos showing what these counter protestors where protesting for? All I've seen is racist chants and police attacks. I've provided you plenty of videos of hundreds of thousands of people protesting peacefully for a ceasefire. Maybe you can provide the same videos of the Peaceful counter protest to show that it was just a few bad apples and the vast majority were peacefully demonstrating for their cause. What was their cause too please? I know some said to protect Whitehall and a centopath but I've just seen them attacking police and destroying barriers and boundaries at both locations. So please tell me what they were peacefully demonstrating for and provide the evidence. For the sake of balance of course. Btw the new McDonald's paper straws are a joke aren't they? Should go back to the plastic ones in my opinion. |

Isn’t it about people accepting that the right have complete knucklehead idiots (thugs) who are racist and don’t represent the vast majority of those who are generally central / right in there views and that there are idiots on the left who too are equally uneducated in the way they behave towards innocent people and show there own prejudice.
This should never be turned into a left / right thing because those in these videos don’t represent the vast majority of people on either side.
People shouldn’t weaponise videos like these to point score just because they don’t agree with them.
On a positive note I attended a Rememberance Sunday parade today and it was totally trouble free with lots of respect from people of all nationalities.
In the readings it was nice to hear a lot about peace.
That’s I think what most people want.

The best way for these threads not to be turned into a left v right issue is for the small handful of posters who keep turning these threads into a left v right issue to not do it.
Your correct about Remembrance Sunday, it appears to have passed off completely peacefully across the country, in London also where the media and political commentators tried to stoke up fear of the cenotaph being attacked when the reality was no one had any intention of going near it anyway.
I had to come away early as my son had a football match but my wife, other son and daughter went to the local synagogue after the Remembrance service with Jews, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs as happens every year. With what's going on at the moment that was particularly reassuring to see................

This tit for tat trading of videos really isn't helpful - it just proves the power of selection bias and does nothing to put what happened yesterday into any perspective. The only way of doing that would be to post thousands of really boring videos showing people walking very slowly across a bridge, somebody picking their nose, an exasperated mum telling her toddler it's nearly over, a couple bickering over which tube is the best to go for to get home and nigh on 300,000 people doing equally mundane things that only the Daily Mail and Suella Braverman would claim to constitute a hate crime.
