about twenty years ago me and my mates went there. can't remember the score, but at the time they were a better outfit than us. After the game we had bricks thrown at us send our car by primary school kids. don't think I've been up that way much since 😂. Any nicer? no not much better, went about 3 years ago, i was pepper sprayed by the police and then left about 10 mins early as was told there was no buses to the station, got chased down the road by two locals who wanted my coat, a rubbish day

Just managed to get a ticket. Sold out online, odd ones dotted about on the phone. Around 2400 sold, Stoke have asked for more.

It's showing as sold out now, surely we'll request more.

Just reminiscing over a visit maybe 20 years ago where their forwards ripped us apart and we left saying how we wished we had forwards like theirs… step forward Ricardo Fuller and Richard Cresswell… brilliant players

Heading for a following of around 4,000 for this one. I may be wrong but I think we’ve only been given about 2,500 tickets ?

Heading for a following of around 4,000 for this one. I may be wrong but I think we’ve only been given about 2,500 tickets ? Yes we have and are now sold out. However we’ve been allocated the whole end holding 6000. Usually PNE split the Bill Shankly Stand between home and away fans but not for our match. I’m hoping/assuming we will be getting a further allocation this week. With still a week to go, and a feel good factor after Saturday, they may take the view that additional tickets would be better than Stokies getting into the ground elsewhere. Having said that, the police may have the final say?

Having said that, the police may have the final say? A larger allocation would make sense…especially after Saturday. I’m going up there on a coach quite early for a drink around the town and can’t wait…should be a good day 👍🍺

This is the same police force who the Stoke support have had serious issues with in the past ( Preston and Blackburn in recent times ) in regards trouble with them and stepping in re safety concerns and numbers of Stoke fans along with kick off times
I wouldn’t hold out much hope of it being increased

How they think 6,000 Burnley fans would be less hassle than around 4,000 Stoke fans though is beyond me? Plus it's harder to police a 100 youths wandering around town without tickets than it is policing everyone sat in the ground........

They could police 7500 Leeds fans at Blackburn for a 3pm ko but weeks later told Stoke we could only have the same amount if we agreed to a 12:30 ko for the FA cup match Stoke refused and it was 3500 …..and there was big trouble in the stadium towards the end of the match

An opinion off the Preston forum yesterday in relation to their Wednesday match at Bristol City, and Saturday against Stoke.
(1) OB1 said:
“Gonna weaken ourselves for the game against Stoke here. Only 3 days to recover whereas Stoke have the week
**We know how meticulous AN is with his preparation too.**
I think naturally we will have to pick a slightly weakened side for one of Bristol City or Stoke. The question is which one?”
AND (2)
“When this match was originally scheduled Brizzle were on fire, now they're in free fall !
Agree that it good to catch them on this run of bad form.
But on the other hand, we’ll get there following two hard games, a lot of travelling and most importantly, having had that sickness bug go through the camp. I fear we will turn up there a bit drained. We’ll do VERY well to get ourselves really up for this one”
- Hopefully the revitalised potters can take advantage of this opportunity. (Sorry Nigel - think that may have sounded just like you there!)

Official site now says we’ve been given an extra 965 tickets for Preston which takes it to almost 3,500…should be good support if we sell all of them.

Which is great and more crammed in on the tiny concourse, I am hoping to hear the atmosphere as i tend try and get a seat in the Tom Finney stand good views and better concourse and service. The only negative is what 'tends' to happened when a large expectant away following .

St Gregory’s catholic club seems to be the go to pub in Preston. Some tight arses may struggle with the quid to get in but they will make that on the beer prices 😀

Haven't been to Preston for ages. Am I imagining it or did we play when David Beckham made his league debut on an articial pitch, would have been 92 or 93??

Don’t know about Becks but I played on that plastic pitch many years ago…bloody awful to play on and every time the ball bounced you had a face full of sand.

Someone will be along in a minute asking if there's a recommended pub in Blackpool or Preston There's nothing really around the ground anymore. There's St Gregory's that someone mentioned above but never been in myself, looks bit depressing. The city centre is definitely the better option, plenty of places to drink near train station. For anyone on Twitter there's an account called @abeerinpreston who usually tweet to away fans about the best places.
