it's a feeling I get based on he turned us down before and his body language. He never turned us down as he was never offered the job ….Preston refused us permission to approach or speak to him He had a release clause at Sunderland which we activated but he didn’t at Preston You should know the Oatcake Kangaroo Court better than that mate? Unsupported and irrational gut feelings trump evidence all day long.

This. Would have been perfect for us. Yeh cause he's done great hasn't he recently, and over his managerial career compared to AN! Spent a sight more money than he’d have available here to produce what? He’s massively overrated by folk on here. Back to the lower leagues to rebuild his reputation?

it's a feeling I get based on he turned us down before and his body language. But why leave Sunderland where he was close to, if not already had, achieving hero status? Not saying you’re wrong but if you’re right we may as well let him go right now. Trebled his salary.

Is that an assumption or does he actually not want to be here? it's a feeling I get based on he turned us down before and his body language. He turned West Brom down at a similar time didn't he? As for body language, he's hardly joined a happy camp. I'd expect his demeanor to be prickly after yesterday's showing

(But Im not so they wont) What will happen is: Monday morning meeting to watch the abortion from yesterday. Sip coffee, nod in unison, a bollocking from AN, amble/jog around for a couple of hours outside, because they sure aint doing any fuckin' 'training' and then repeat the whole sorry charade again in the next game Dont know why but Im still fuckin fuming about yesterday. Before, after a defeat, it was just a 'oh well......whats on telly tonight' but that was just woeful what they served up yesterday.

what the hell with people wanting Wilder. They guy is a complete nutter. The problem with him is that after his success at United his ego grew out of all proportion and he now can't handle it.
He has been a disaster for Middlesbrough and not got a great reputation in the game.
Throws players under the bus on a regular basis. Can't take any responsibility for defeats. Players don't want to play for him
No thanks.

Wilder a one hit wonder?
Failed badly at Boro, why do people think he’d have succeeded here, I think he’d have gone full on bat shit crazy here and wouldn’t have been able to handle the structure and it would have ended badly

Some of you can't see further than your own nose.
What makes you think it would be a good idea for a basket case club to replace a manager who's been in charge for just five games with one who finds himself sacked after nearly twelve months in a job, two transfer windows and his team in the bottom three?

People on here are crazy. Imagine this board with Wilder as manager. The same manager whose ego refused to play the club's two summer signings who they spent their transfer budget on saying they were 'development' players.

I don’t think many people are advocating for AN to be sacked and CW appointed.
My point was that if we’d have waited we could have potentially got a better manager.

The point is his time at Boro (not to mention his second Premier League season at Sheff Utd) actually exposes him as not being the amazing manager everybody thought he was.

Actually they started to fall of a cliff about Feb of the first season and it carried on into season after with questionable signings apart from Sander Berge. Then we know what happened.

He is a good manager. Very good .
sometimes things don't work out (brian clough ? leeds?)
i don't know much about boro but he may well be cursing " the modern day player"
Frank Lampard is a bright lad with massive premier league experience and i think its really interesting what he is up to at Everton
connor coady , james tarkowski, salomon rondon , neal maupay , docoure ...to add to the likes of jordan pickford, seamus coleman
By premier league standards , thats a very old school , lets get stuck in , honest set of lads
I am not saying everton are going to rip up any trees , but i think Lampard has an aversion to the " modern day player". I think he is right to be wary . I think wilder or AN , would love a squad like that

Made me chuckle yesterday when the Watford fans sang "sacked in the morning" at Bilic!!! P.S. That was about the highlight of the game!!!

He's also chucked them under the bus every week while taking no responsibility himself. That only ends one way.

All he has to do is wait a couple of days.
For the next Watford vacancy.
