Ally Pickering scored a screamer fir Burnley against us Ally Pickering scored a screamer for us against Alan Balls Portsmouth in another home defeat in our first season at the Brit, what about Zay Angola in a away win at Swindon and Hallelujah John Tudor, John Tudor with a flying header on his debut at the Vic ? Didn't we win the game Pickering scored in? Lightbourne got a late winner and we looked like we.might stay up until an abysmal performance at Crewe soon after

Grainy footage but remember this absolute howitzer well. Love the understated “celebration” too. Was right behind that - absolute cracker

I seem to remember their slightly rotund physio responding to a rendition of "ate all the pies" by producing one from his medical bag and throwing it into the home fans. Great night all round

And what a goal it was v Hull I think. He also made a brilliant goal line save to deny a certain Leeds goal at Elland Rd. How the ref didnt give a pen Ill never know

Zay Angola - Superb volley at The Brit (Boothen End)...I think it was quite literally the only ever contribution he made in a Stoke shirt but what a goal!

What about Rikki Dadason firing an header in against Barnsley in the league cup(i think) to earn us an home tie against the scousers. Cant remember much about the game against Liverpool only Peter Thorne going clean through within the first 2 minutes. Left in disgust after he missed.

Pretty certain that was Dadason's first touch for us as well.

Took me a min 😟. I just remember that Lightbourne goal and thinking we'd pulled ourselves out of it. All we need now is a good performance at Crewe and we could be ok. Without doubt the worst display ever seen at Crewe. I left with about 25 mins to go and Nantwich Rd was full of Stoke fans on the way home

Tuncay was under-used in his time here, and for various reasons, Michael Kightly was under-appreciated* but they both scored against the Shit Cant recall if they were screamers or tap-ins but any goal against The Shit is worth ten against anyone else and should never be under-estimated *one of them being he was wasnt very good ** I rated him though ***from memory and without checking I think we can add the also-under used Assaidi to this list Assaidi scored a beauty against Chelsea. Was surprised he wasn't used much if at all after that

Paul Holsgrove Danny Tiatto Tiatto was a good player in that shit show of a season He was mate and when Holsgrove first came in I thought we had a player in that he wanted the ball to try and dictate the play but it soon fizzled out
