Had a beer this afternoon with a dirty scouse shit and the subject came up of players that had come down here , Bruce , Patrick etc… and a curve ball from no where , Frode kippe.. scorer of one of stokes greatest goals , I remember I was in the spring cottage watching it and was truely an amazing goal …v Preston. Probably 20 yrs ago now . Made me think of players that have been down stoke , done very little but scored massive goals. An obvious example is someone’s arse cheek at Cardiff…….. I put that out to you all

Grainy footage but remember this absolute howitzer well. Love the understated “celebration” too.

I put that out to you all Kippe's goal is here. Friday night I think it was. Preston were top of the league and equalised late on. James O'Connor then scored the winner a few minutes from time. It would have been 1999/00 because Gudjon was in charge and David Moyes managed Preston the year they went up.

Seem to remember Micky Adams scoring a screamer at the old Boothen End while on loan from Leeds? Was on loan from Southampton I think? Around the same time as we had Mark Walters on loan from Liverpool?

Goalkeeper Azmir Bekovic for Stoke against Southampton in 2013.
Begovic joined Peter Schmeichel, Paul Robinson, Brad Friedel and Tim Howard as the only goalkeepers to score goals in Premier League history.

Can I recall Cranson running into midfield, running onto his chipped ball and a cracking finish, Huddersfield at home??

Tuncay was under-used in his time here, and for various reasons, Michael Kightly was under-appreciated* but they both scored against the Shit
Cant recall if they were screamers or tap-ins but any goal against The Shit is worth ten against anyone else and should never be under-estimated
*one of them being he was wasnt very good ** I rated him though ***from memory and without checking I think we can add the also-under used Assaidi to this list
