I can’t think of anyone named Gavin since I watched The Brittas Empire in the 90’s Gavin and Stacey ? My daughter is in Cardiff this weekend, going on a Barry Island tour tomorrow on Daves Coach I worked in Barry a few years ago n loved it. Tadross is a great booser.

I can’t think of anyone named Gavin since I watched The Brittas Empire in the 90’s I work with two Gavin’s but we call them Gaz for some reason, and two blokes named Gareth Gaz also. Which is really confusing. If we have a collection for them I have to ask which Gaz as I cant stand one of them, Vale Tosser.

This will be a season loan right?
Hopefully it will be our first successful loan signing since we got relegated.
I can't imagine he'll be a starter, he has played almost no football, but at his young age and light weight he shouldn't be another crock and he's another warm body we can throw in to the fray.

Hope this fella is good, but think I’d have preferred Ben Pearson who seems to be surplus to requirements.

That’s all I’ve heard today apart from Laurent is a bit of a “ratter” and has looked good in training. Pardon my ignorance but what the fluff is a rattler? ratter not rattler closes down, niggles, ball winning, gets stuck in, never stops thats my impression anyway

I’m liking our signings, don’t know anything about this guy but comments from Bournemouth folk suggest he’s a good player and the kind MON wants. Let’s be honest he’s not interested in a number 4 shithouse, rather he wants a deep lying player who can do a bit of everything and that’s fine by me as long as we don’t look like we did last season.

Bruno was excellent during that loan season.

Good point. Who was our last successful loan signing? Victor Moses I remember Moses playing against Portsmouth in a league cup game. Clearly unfit but clearly a class above anybody else on the pitch. Happy dayz

Definitely sounds like a player for MON’s vision because he’s openly said he doesn’t believe he needs an out and out destroyer in the midfield.

I’m liking the way we’re going.
My only concern is where’s Powell going to play.
I’m not sure unless MONs looking at playing him up front.

Mate how does he compare to Thompson in that role? 🙌 JT was most advanced at Blackpool. Still more advanced and predominately left sided at Stoke compared to GK's Bournemouth role. JT has better tackle efficiency, better in the air, but doesn't retain the ball as well via passes (tries way more forward passes than GK). JT played more of a deeper GK role in our EFL Cup games.

It would be terrible to not sign a player because he might keep someone else out of the team. We need competition for places and replacements for injuries, fatigue etc.

I’m not sure unless MONs looking at playing him up front. 50 odd games to play and Powell will probably play 70% of them at a push. We need a pool of 25 players really. Not a chance of suffering the same injury curse as last year you'd think but can't be ear marking one player for one position for the season.

With the players brought in doesn't look like we're going to play with a 10 and if we play with two 8s he's going to be in competition with Baker and Laurent. The other option would be left of a front three but with the attacking nature of the two fullbacks we've brought in you would have to think 352 is favourite although I suppose 343 is possible (but very attacking for someone as cautious as O'Neill). Will Powell now be the only player still on a legacy contract? (assuming Etebo goes) I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he left.
